Givenchy's Beige Mousseline is a subtle apricot-beige shade with a delicate shimmer that's absolutely stunning. Despite the somewhat steep price for an eyeshadow in the $40 range, I couldn't resist after seeing the beautiful swatches. It's known as Baek Yerin's go-to shadow! The color is a unique blend - not quite apricot, not quite beige, but a perfect fusion of both. It changes with lighting and time of day, appearing more apricot in the morning and more beige in the evening. Think of it as a nude apricot-beige, or a shadowy apricot! When applied thinly over the eyelids, it creates a soft apricot-toned shadow that's absolutely gorgeous. The color complements Asian skin tones beautifully, giving a subtle beige-apricot glow around the eyes that adds dimension. It's stunning! The key is to apply it lightly and thinly. Spread it out evenly to avoid clumping. If applied too thickly, it might look overly orange. The shimmer in Beige Mousseline is truly exceptional. The fine particles create a delicate, ultra-feminine effect. It gives that coveted 'Inner Glow' - perfect for daily wear, even in professional settings. The combination of the subtle shimmer and color is simply divine. I'm also curious about the Rose Dentelle shade in the Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow line. Once I finish this one, I might give that a try! However, there are some points to be mindful of: Given it's a cream formula in a pot, hygiene is crucial. This is especially important considering its large size. Using unwashed fingers or dirty brushes frequently could lead to oxidation. There's a risk it might develop an odd smell in the pot. It's not the easiest product to maintain, so it's best to use it frequently and finish it within a few months of opening. Remember to keep the container clean while using the product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 3, 2019
#Application Incredibly smooth and doesn't clump when applied. It's moments like these when you realize why premium products are worth it. Applies beautifully regardless of the method - fingers, brush, or tip brush all work great! (Personal preference: tip brush~) #Color The basic color with delicate shimmer is absolutely gorgeous. Looks beautiful on its own and pairs well with other colors layered on top. As a base, it complements any color without floating or looking disjointed. #Generous Amount The quantity is ample, so it should last quite a while. Though the container may look small, considering the amount used per application, it should easily last over 6 months with daily use. - Not available in Korea... Can only be purchased through international shipping, unfortunately. - The color is more ordinary than expected. Hmm... After going through the trouble of buying internationally, it feels somewhat underwhelming. - h-******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJun 2, 2019
This shade is a beige with a hint of orange, adorned with a shimmering silver pearl finish. The fine pearl particles make it satisfying to use as a standalone daily eyeshadow. The best feature is its adherence to the skin. It doesn't pill, and when applied with fingers, it spreads evenly while still setting well. For a cream shadow, it creases minimally. Although I tend to have oily eyelids and the color may fade a bit over time, the pearl effect manages to maintain its charm. The price point and the fact that it's only available through international shipping in Korea are downsides. When I swatched it on my hand, the color seemed more beautiful than when applied to my eyelids, which was a bit disappointing. It's like, 'Wait, is this the same shade I tried on my hand?' That kind of feeling. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJan 26, 2019
Beige Mousseline is my holy grail eyeshadow. It has a subtle shimmer with fine silver pearls, creating a clean yet beautiful look. At first glance, it appears apricot-toned, but once applied to the eyelids, it's not overly reddish. This shade works as a perfect base - anything layered on top just looks gorgeous. The only downside is that it's not available in Korea, so you have to buy it expensively through international shipping. Givenchy Korea, please wake up and bring this here! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 14, 2019
Color payoff - When applied lightly, it gives a natural pink tone that's perfect for daily wear. It's also great for creating a gradient effect by applying it more intensely towards the inner corners of the eyes. Longevity - Being a cream shadow, it definitely lasts longer than regular powder eyeshadows or single shadows. Application - It glides on super smoothly and naturally when applied with fingers! The velvety texture feels much nicer compared to regular eyeshadows. Plus, it doesn't clump as much as other cream shadows! Value for money - In my opinion, it's a great deal considering the price and quality! Color payoff - One slight downside is that while I'm a shade 21, my friend who uses shade 23 found it a bit... perplexing? It's not a color I'd strongly recommend for those with darker complexions. Longevity - While it lasts longer than typical cream shadows, it tends to migrate quite a bit. Even after setting with powder, it creeps down to under the eyes within 1-2 hours... A little migration is fine, but this looks almost like you have a stye. Application - For a cream shadow, it should apply super smoothly, but it's challenging to apply with a brush. It seems to set quickly, almost like it's drying out? I've never left it open, and I keep my brushes clean, but it still seems to dry out fast. Cleansing - I use a variety of cleansing products including Perfect Cleansing, cleansing tissues, and cleansing oils/emulsions, but it still seems to leave a slight residue. The color appears faintly and feels like it stains. You really have to scrub to remove it completely. The size is good for carrying around, but feels a bit small. As far as I know, it's not yet available domestically in Korea. You can find it at a relatively reasonable price at duty-free shops though! It's very suitable for creating contoured looks, matte makeup, or gradients. As mentioned above, it's not recommended for users with darker skin tones. I suggest applying the shadow with your fingers rather than a brush, as brushes can leave streaks. It also works great as a base! - mj*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 17, 2018
Color payoff: The color is truly beautiful. Texture: Although it's a cream type, it has low oil content, so it doesn't smudge. Yet it's moisturizing, making it easy to apply. Features: Despite being a cream type, it doesn't smudge much, has great color payoff, and is suitable for use as a contour shadow. The number and size of shimmer particles are just right, making it perfect for daily use. Additional review 5/26/19 Color payoff: Still absolutely gorgeous. The combination of shimmer and color is unparalleled. Texture: As it sets slightly over time, the color payoff improves even more. It's expensive. The luxurious beauty seems to stem from the price ;; Nevertheless, 100% would repurchase. Additional review 5/26/19 I repurchased it a bit cheaper through direct overseas purchase. Although it's pricey, it's worth every penny. It may crease slightly on the double eyelid line, but if you don't have hidden double eyelids like me, it's not a big issue. It applies most beautifully with fingers. + Extra tip Tapping it on with a brush makes the shimmer look even prettier. - da******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 8, 2018
I tested this product at Sephora and bought it right away! The color is truly beautiful. It's like a subtle blend of beige and orange tones? It's a cream shadow, but what makes it even more gorgeous is the delicate shimmer. I wish I could stock up on another one, but it's so hard to find in Korea. It looks really beautiful if you apply this as a base, then layer a brown or pink-beige color on top and blend it out. - ho*******Dry SkinRecommendedOct 29, 2018
Absolutely stunning... It's gorgeous from the moment you lay eyes on it!! Even more beautiful when applied ♥ The color is truly luxurious, and the silver pearl shimmer is exquisitely expressed!! I'll definitely be repurchasing It's a shame it's hard to find in Korea... You have to buy it duty-free or through international shopping sites! - ro****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresMar 31, 2018
This is a shadow I'd love to repurchase once I run out. It's gorgeous even when applied on its own. How to describe it... effortlessly beautiful? The staying power and adherence are excellent, which has changed my mind about cream shadows. I'm really enjoying using it. The color is beige with a hint of orange - not too brown, just perfectly pretty. And it has these amazingly sparkly silver pearls... The more I use it, the more I fall in love! It's hard to find in Korea. Even duty-free shops seem to be out of stock...
