The gentle and moisturizing hydration leaves a pleasant feeling on the skin. It's non-sticky and gives a sense of prepping the skin before applying cream. The pump hole is large, causing too much product to dispense at once. The opaque container makes it difficult to see how much product is left. - lo******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinJul 29, 2017
I bought two more as a repurchase. I used to use Guerlain's Super Aqua Serum, which was moisturizing, but for some reason, it kept causing blemishes. So I searched on Hwahae for a serum with gentle ingredients, similar beneficial components to Guerlain, but at a more affordable price. This product seemed promising, so I decided to give it a try. When I first applied it, it felt neither good nor bad. However, after using a dead skin cell removal mask and then applying this serum, I noticed it locked in hydration really well. I also felt like my complexion brightened up. It seems like a great product, so I recommend it. Unfortunately, the container is opaque, so you can't see how much product is left inside. If you use this after exfoliating at night, your skin will feel incredibly plump and hydrated the next day! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinMar 19, 2017
When I usually try new products, my skin often turns red or gets itchy, but this one seems to be really gentle on my skin. I love that it's fragrance-free and doesn't cause any irritation! I don't have any complaints. I just wish they would come out with a sunscreen, eye cream, and mist in this line too. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 13, 2017
I love how gentle it is. It has a runny, mucus-like consistency. It works well when used with toner. If you're prone to blemishes, you'll likely see a reduction in their occurrence. I couldn't find anything particularly good about it. It's drying, even after applying two layers. When you touch your face to help it absorb, it feels sticky. However, oddly enough, the stickiness disappears after a while - not sure if it evaporated or what. Also, it makes my skin itchy for some reason. - ph*****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresNov 23, 2016
I first tried the toning emulsion and loved it so much that I bought the essence too. The pump dispenser is hygienic, and the formula is an opaque gel type. I love that it's fragrance-free, and being a low pH product, I can apply it with confidence! I think it only had one potentially harmful ingredient. I was using free samples of Estée Lauder White Essence and Vichy Aqualia (I think) ultra-hydrating toner as my essence step, but I started getting small bumps slowly. So I tossed those and started using the Olivebarrier Essence I had stashed away. By the second day, it seemed like the bumps were slightly reduced, but it wasn't very noticeable, so I was unsure. However, when I washed my face, I could feel that my skin had become softer. I've been using it for less than a week, but I think it'll be even better after a month. It applies smoothly, and it clings to my hands like the Gokujyun emulsion. It's been an hour since I applied just this essence after cleansing, and I don't feel any lack of hydration or dryness at all. The container is opaque, making it difficult to know when to repurchase before running out completely. I think if you layer it three times like the '7-skin method', it would stand up to even harsh winter weather! Olivebarrier is absolutely fantastic! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 4, 2016
The ultimate in hydration! I really loved that there's absolutely no artificial fragrance. It's also reassuring that it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients. It takes a bit of time to absorb. You need to pat it in for quite a while.
