ConsThere's a significant amount of excess powder that falls off. It also leaves some white residue and doesn't absorb well.

I accidentally fell asleep with it on, and I've never had any blemishes break out on my face.
ConsWhat could be improved: Sigh... I really dislike this product. First off, it attracts dust like a magnet, so when I apply the sunstick, all that dust transfers to my face. The absorption is terrible too - it feels extremely dry and cakey. Even worse, despite being dry, it clumps up and causes my makeup to pill. I totally regret purchasing this product...
TipSince it's so dry, I found spraying some facial mist on the sunstick before use makes it work much better for me than before.

Cons- Despite being a sunstick, it feels very powdery, probably due to its mineral sunscreen formulation - For the same reason, it doesn't apply smoothly and you need to pat it in with your fingers to avoid clumping - The oval shape makes it difficult to apply in tricky areas like around the nose, so you end up using your fingers anyway - The durability doesn't seem great - Separate from the product itself, it's hard to gauge how much to apply to achieve the stated SPF protection
TipI chose this for easier sun protection, but in the end, you still need to pat it in and blend it out to avoid patchiness or clumping, just like with regular sunscreen. Sometimes I wish sunsticks came with a silicone blender attached at the bottom to really complete the convenience factor of the sunstick category... but that's probably unlikely to happen. There aren't many options for purely mineral sunsticks, so alternatives to this one are limited. Considering how often you need to apply sunscreen and how pricey some can be, this might be the most basic and accessible option. It's best to use a proper first cleanser, as soap or foam cleansers alone won't completely remove this product. I'd recommend using this as a touch-up product when you're out, rather than as your main sunscreen. Apply your regular sunscreen before going out, then use this for reapplication throughout the day. The photo shows the level of white cast after one layer - it's about average for a mineral sunscreen. If it suits your skin tone, it can act as a brightening moisturizer; if not, it might leave a noticeable white cast.

Even when I remove my base makeup completely and apply only this with an air puff before putting on cushion foundation, my skin looks really good. I use it often for touch-ups. The ingredients are also quite gentle.
ConsI bought this because it was supposed to have a powdery finish, but I can't tell where it's powdery at all. It felt sticky on my skin. My hair keeps sticking to it. When I touch up, I remove all my base makeup and apply this, but it clings to every corner and applies unevenly, so I end up patting it with an air puff before applying cushion foundation. Surprisingly, when applied this way, my skin looks really good! However, if I don't smooth it out with an air puff and apply cushion directly, it applies terribly. Also, if I apply it over existing base makeup, it causes too much pilling, making my skin makeup look cakey. As expected, it attracts a lot of dust. When I used about half of it, it separated as shown in the photo. The sun stick itself doesn't seem to suit my skin that well, but since I'm using it effectively for touch-ups, I'm giving it 3 stars.
TipAlso, there's a bit of a white cast, and it doesn't apply evenly, so those with textured skin might want to avoid this.

Cons- Applies thickly - Clumps in some areas, requiring a light hand to smooth out the finish - Difficult to apply around the nose (a common issue with sunscreen sticks) - As the workday progresses, dust tends to stick to the face, causing slight itchiness - Too much product is wasted at the end of the stick
TipAvailable online with a buy-one-get-one-free offer and free shipping Purchased for around $14 As of now, 100% would repurchase

After checking on Hwahae, I saw it had good ingredients, which gave me confidence to use it. First off, the stick format makes it super easy to apply! I used to skip sunscreen often because it would get all over my hands and was a hassle. Now, I've become so close with my sunscreen that I never leave home without it! I love how it doesn't leave a greasy finish but instead feels powdery soft. The natural brightening effect is also right up my alley!
ConsPerhaps due to its lack of oil, it doesn't glide on smoothly. I have to rub the stick all over my face and then spread it with my fingers. However! It doesn't get on my hands as much as liquid types, so I'm using it without complaints. The powdery finish can sometimes feel a bit drying. Despite not having sensitive skin, for some unknown reason, it stings and tingles a bit. I'll need to use it more to figure out this aspect!
TipAvoid applying it to your eyebrows when putting it on your face. The formula can clump! Similarly, if you have a lot of body hair, you'll need to spread it out again with your palms.

Ideal for body use. Being a mineral sunscreen, it's gentle on the skin.
ConsThe white cast is intense... you might be mistaken for a Peking opera performer. It's like applying highlighter all over your face. Not sure if the stick format is actually convenient - it doesn't apply well on contoured areas, attracts dust, and ultimately requires an air puff for even application. Ends up being messily maintained, just like in the photo.

Many baby sunscreens have questionable ingredients, but I use this one with my 3-year-old daughter without any major blemishes. I feel at ease using it because it's fragrance-free and has good ingredients. I'm also quite satisfied with its sun protection. Despite some drawbacks, I'm happy with its performance and will likely repurchase it.
ConsIt's challenging to apply on curved areas like the sides of the nose. When spreading it with my hands, it's difficult to achieve a smooth finish due to the white cast from the mineral sunscreen. The absorption isn't great. When applying a lot on arms and legs, it tends to hollow out in the middle, forming a U-shape. While sunsticks generally have this tendency, this one is on the softer side. There's even a slight gap in the center... I'll probably use it up quickly.
TipIt has a fine powder-like texture, as if you've applied powder. Those with very dry skin might feel some tightness. I have dry skin too, but it's not an issue in the current humid weather. It's easy to apply on bare skin with quick strokes. Due to pilling, it might be difficult to reapply over makeup. When removing, water alone isn't enough. I use a cleansing water for my baby too, followed by rinsing with water.
