First off, the ingredients are great and it absorbs well. The formula has a skin-like tint, so it provides a bit of complexion correction and doesn't leave any shine at all. This is a sunscreen I'd highly recommend for middle and high school students. While it applies thinly, it's quite matte, so it might be better suited for oily skin. The ingredients are great, with mineral UV filters, non-nano particles, and zinc for 100% sun protection. The slightly runny texture makes it easy to apply. It also has a subtle tint effect for brightening the complexion. It's both a pro and a con that it washes off easily with water. I'm not sure if I'm using it wrong, but it pills excessively and leaves patchy areas, which is inconvenient. It doesn't feel like it adheres well to the skin, instead it pills and looks uneven. For effective sun protection, you might want to apply a thicker layer, but it tends to clump. It's best to apply it as thinly as possible. When applied over moisturizer, it tends to pill, so make sure to pat it in thoroughly for better absorption. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 12, 2018
The original Badger was really thick and sticky, with poor application and a terrible white cast. It also had an unpleasant smell. This one, however, is tinted, so there's less white cast. The fragrance is better than unscented versions. It also absorbs well into the skin. To be honest, the amount is too small. It's hard to justify a price approaching 20,000 won for just 40ml... - sk*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 25, 2018
If you've tried other Badger sunscreens, you'll be very satisfied with this one. While other Badger sunscreens were greasy and left a heavy white cast, making them difficult to use, this product has a consistency between a cream and a milk, spreading easily and thinly. It's not greasy, and unlike other Badger sunscreens, the white cast isn't severe - in fact, it made my face look a shade lighter, which I found nice. Best of all, when applied, it has a pore-covering effect similar to a primer. While it's not listed on Hwahae, there's an identical product with a skin-toned color instead of white. It performs the same but completely eliminates the white cast issue. The skin-tone color seems designed to counteract the white cast rather than match skin tone. While the pore-covering effect is a plus, if you apply foundation or powder over this product, you might notice product buildup in areas with larger pores - it's hard to tell if it's the makeup or the sunscreen. This was noticeable on my nose pores, so I avoid applying it there when wearing makeup. This probably won't be an issue for those with small pores. There's no real trick to it, but if you're worried about the white cast, try applying it in thin layers, patting it gently as you go. This seems to reduce the effect.
