I first tried the round, tub-style Aloe Vera Therapy, and it worked great. The aloe made it feel so soft and soothing. But I prefer stick-type lip balms, so I ordered the stick version. Wow, the fragrance is incredibly strong, much more than I remember from the tub version. Other reviews said it would be similar, but this is on another level. I thought aloe was supposed to be gentle, but this one is a real fighter. It's like they took the sharpest, most pungent parts of the aloe plant and crammed them all into this. It overpowers everything else. Eating anything becomes an 'aloe experience'. It's not an herbal scent, it's more like an aloe battering ram.
Tip
If it had great moisturizing power, I could maybe overlook the downsides. But this one... it's like getting stung by the aloe vera itself. A stinging aloe vera balm, if you will.
