  The hydration is excellent and it absorbs well. The texture is water-like, making it easy to apply lightly.

  Cons

  There's a slight stickiness to it. Also, when I used it while my skin wasn't in the best condition, it caused a bit of tingling sensation.

  Pros

  I bought this thinking it was an emulsion-type essence, but it turned out to be a watery essence. Surprisingly, I noticed my foundation stopped settling into pores and my complexion became more even. It's an essence that works wonders for pores and is absolutely fantastic for managing dead skin cells.

  Cons

  It can be slightly drying, and I felt a mild tingling sensation at first, but that disappeared with continued use.

  Tip

  On days I wear makeup, I use it on a cotton pad for toning after cleansing. On regular days, I pat it in gently to help it absorb. I wouldn't recommend toning daily as it might irritate the skin.

  Pros

  I'm using this as an exfoliating toner + boosting essence combo. Unlike other dead skin cell and pore care toners that often dry out the skin due to alcohol content, this product contains soothing ingredients. It gently refines dead skin cells daily, leaving the skin hydrated and silky smooth without any dryness.

  Cons

  On days when my skin isn't at its best, it can suddenly feel quite tingling. Despite this, it works so well for me that I keep stocking up and using it, though it is admittedly on the pricier side.

  Tip

  For areas with a buildup of dead skin cells, soak a cotton pad generously and leave it on like a mask for 3-5 minutes before wiping. It works wonders!

  Pros

  The clear, water-like formula flows effortlessly. I applied it by gently patting it onto my skin with a thick cotton pad, allowing it to absorb well. The scent, which can be polarizing, was a hit for me! When properly absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling hydrated and recharged with moisture. It also gives the impression of brightening the complexion.

  Cons

  When there was about 2-3cm left at the bottom, for some reason my skin became super sensitive. Even when I tried applying it gently with my bare hands instead of a cotton pad, I felt a tingling sensation and irritation. It was fine when my skin was in good condition. I guess it might be slightly irritating for my skin type.

  Pros

  For sensitive skin, a product that doesn't cause blemishes is a godsend. So, I'm giving this one major points for not triggering any breakouts. I can't say I've noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin texture, but then again, my skin wasn't particularly rough to begin with. Skin texture tends to get rougher when I'm stressed or sleep-deprived anyway. The Clear Essence has a more watery consistency compared to the Plankton Essence. I use it with a cotton pad, gently wiping my face, and I find it nicely hydrating. I also appreciate the scent - it doesn't smell artificial. Overall, I like how it preps my skin, making it feel more receptive to the products I apply afterwards.

  Cons

  Being a 'Clear Essence', it contains salicylic acid, I think. When I leave it on like a toner pack, it causes a slight tingling and cooling sensation - probably due to that ingredient. I actually use this method intentionally when I want to manage my sebum production. Not sure if this is good for the skin though!

  The proper way to use this is actually as a wipe-off product!

  Pros

  I've definitely noticed a reduction in blemishes and those tiny bumps that used to appear. My skin tends to get oily and prone to inflammation in summer, but since using this, my deep dryness has decreased and my skin is much less oily. I apply it on a cotton pad like a toner. It absorbs well with a pleasantly rich texture. It's great as a toner and base booster for summer use. Personally, I didn't find the scent bothersome at all.

  Cons

  While it was worth buying duty-free, the regular retail price is a bit steep. At first, there's a slight tingling sensation (those with super sensitive skin that reddens easily might want to avoid this).

  Tip

  Use it like an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, then pat it in. Follow up with a hydrating cream to minimize the tingling sensation. As I have dry skin, I apply an extra layer of finishing cream on my cheeks once the initial application seems fully absorbed.

  1. Great for daily exfoliation of dead skin cells. 2. My complexion has become brighter.

  Cons

  1. The biggest downside is the price, unfortunately. It wears down faster than expected - I've used about 70% in just a month. 2. There was a slight tingling sensation at first. I looked it up online and found others had experienced the same. Since it was just a tingle without any other issues, I continued using it and was pleasantly surprised by the results. 3. I have typical combination dehydrated skin, and since it's a clear essence, I anticipated some tightness. However, it caused more deep dryness than I expected.

  Tip

  Tip: Use cotton pads that don't absorb too much toner. After wiping your entire face once, use the other side to gently pat in the remaining toner. You'll feel a thicker layer of hydration forming.

  The only positive thing I can say is that it has a scent. That's literally it.

  Cons

  As someone with sensitive skin, not only is the fragrance overwhelming, but it also makes my skin burn and tingle. The smell is unpleasant, and worst of all, it causes blemishes. This product is terrible. I think I'll have to give it away to a friend.

  Tip

  If you have super sensitive skin, I strongly recommend trying a tester first.
