Pros
True to its name as a makeup base, it creates the perfect foundation for your makeup after skincare. It seems to prevent makeup from sliding off too. It applies thinly like an essence, so there's no heavy feeling!
Cons
If I had to point out a drawback, it's that unlike many products these days that offer tinting or brightening effects, this one doesn't have those features. However, once we stop wearing masks, I think we'll return to seeking out this kind of basic base.

Pros
The pump design allows you to dispense just the right amount. It has a slightly liquid consistency, but not runny - there's a bit of viscosity to it. It applies thinly over primer and gives a subtle, dewy glow. The hydration it provides seems to help makeup adhere beautifully. I also love how pleasantly it glides on the skin.
Cons
The price point seems a bit high. This is my first time trying RMK, so maybe that's why I feel this way, but it does feel a bit expensive.

Pros
I finally understand why people use both a base and foundation! This is my first time trying a base product, and now I get it. It's a thin liquid that comes with a pump, and it has a clear pink tint. When applied alone, it doesn't necessarily brighten your complexion, but it does give you a subtle Inner Glow. The formula is lightweight and glides on effortlessly. There's no noticeable scent, and because it's so thin, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. I'm really enjoying it! #Rmk #foundation recommendation #base recommendation

I haven't found any downsides yet, but if I had to nitpick, maybe it's that it only comes in one size?
Tip

Pros
I bought this after hearing the buzz, and I'm impressed. It applies smoothly and thinly for a natural look. It's not overly drying either.
Cons
The coverage is weaker than I expected, so I tend to mix it with other foundations when I use it.
Tip

Pros
It absorbed well, and I could feel the hydration building up. As a base, it gave a thin yet reliable feeling on my skin.
Cons
Unfortunately, it didn't last very long and started to separate. That was a bit disappointing.

It applies thinly and moistly, naturally evening out the skin tone after application. If it had sun protection, I'd want to keep using this product continuously. Absorbs: very good Texture: fluid Function: evens skin tone effectively Other: moisturizing with no pilling
Cons
Lacks sun protection Small amount for a high price While the quantity and price are disappointing, the absence of sun protection is the biggest letdown

Pros
This is my holy grail base that erases pores and gives a smooth, egg-like finish. It never pills and forms a silky film, acting like cement between my skin and foundation to hold everything in place. To me, a good base should create a thin, even layer that makes your skin look naturally flawless. For that, you need solid prep work, and nothing beats this product for that foundation. It's my trusted love-hate Japanese staple. No matter what Abe does, I can't find a Korean product that's even half as satisfying. RMK is my lifelong companion! Though quite pricey, you only need a little, so the cost isn't a big issue. In my early 20s, it came in a simple tube, but the new pump packaging is a welcome improvement.
Cons
Honestly, even if they topped it with cesium, I'd still have to use it.

Pros
As someone who loves a thin, glowing complexion, my makeup tends to fade quickly. However, this product applies very thinly and, most importantly, the makeup staying power is absolutely fantastic.
Cons
It fulfills its role as a makeup base quite well. When I bought it, the ingredients list included parabens, but it seems they've improved that aspect now. I don't think there's anything to complain about anymore.
Tip
If you prefer a thin, glowing complexion like me, try applying this base with a brush. Your foundation will go on more smoothly, and the adherence will be even better!

Pros
At first, I was really torn about whether to buy this with the liquid foundation. I heard they work perfectly together... But I decided not to get the foundation since I wanted to use it with NARS Sheer Glow (I planned to try this first and buy the foundation later if I liked it). And I have to say, this product is truly amazing. It's perfect for creating a thin layer with a subtle glow on the skin.
Cons
Hmm... I've only been using it for about a week, so I'm not sure yet if it causes blemishes or not. I'll update if I notice any skin issues with continued use. Oh! And just a heads up - it has an alcohol scent when you apply it, so keep that in mind before purchasing.
Tip
I think this works really well when paired with a foundation that gives a sheer skin-like finish.

After using this, I've been able to apply my foundation more thinly, as I need less product overall.
Cons
The coverage is minimal, so if you're looking for more coverage, you'll need to use a concealer along with it.
