I've noticed that after the initial shedding, it doesn't cause as much hair loss in subsequent uses. I'm relatively new to Aveda, but after trying it, I can definitely say it feels gentle on the scalp. There's no residue or feeling that scalp oils weren't properly cleansed. The overall experience feels clean and fresh. The only downside to Aveda is the price. To be honest, it's not an exceptionally outstanding product, but if you're someone who's particularly concerned about scalp health, it's probably a good choice.
