ConsWhen cleansing, it doesn't emulsify well even when rubbing with a bit of water. I felt like there was residue left and the cleansing effectiveness doesn't seem good. I use this as a first cleanse followed by the mugwort foam cleanser from the same line. After completing both steps, my face feels itchy. It seems to cause irritation. I don't usually get acne or blemishes easily, but the next morning I wake up with several pimples, clogged pores, or acne-like spots.

It feels like washing my face with fresh spring water.
ConsWhile it's labeled as a deep cleanser, it doesn't quite live up to that claim. It's great for removing light makeup, but for heavier looks, you'll need to cleanse two or three times.

It's from the same Amore Pacific family and shares that herbal essence vibe, so it's like a budget-friendly cousin. The cleansing power is top-notch, and what I love most is how incredibly gentle and refreshing it feels! Amore really seems to have nailed their cleansing line.
ConsIt's both a pro and a con - this oil is seriously refreshing! While it cleanses well, it's incredibly light and fresh. Because of this, I'm not sure if it's as effective at removing sebum compared to the Sulwhasoo cleansing oil. However, the ingredients seem gentle, and I'm using it without any issues.
TipIt's a cleansing oil that's easy to use - no blemishes, and when you catch it on sale, it's super affordable! It's perfect for those new to cleansing oils, like a beginner's best friend. No irritation after use, good cleansing effectiveness - it's definitely earned its spot as a staple in my routine!

It spreads smoothly on the face, resulting in less irritation. Hydration: While I can't say it's exactly moisturizing, my skin didn't feel excessively tight after cleansing.
ConsEmulsification: It doesn't emulsify well. Although it spreads smoothly, it fails to emulsify with water. Previous products I've used would clearly turn white and dissolve during cleansing, but this one doesn't at all. Blemishes: Possibly due to the poor emulsification, it seems the makeup isn't being properly removed, leading to clogged pores. This appears to be causing small, bumpy blemishes on my skin.

ConsAs someone with rather sensitive skin, I noticed more frequent tingling sensations after using this product. The sebum control effect is practically non-existent, in my opinion. It's almost like water, so I didn't get that refreshing clean feeling

As a result, I started paying more attention to ingredients. Surprisingly, this cleansing oil didn't cause any tightness or irritation. The texture is a bit more watery compared to other cleansing oils, which makes it feel less rich and more refreshing. Despite its lightweight feel, it's quite effective at cleansing - even removing most of my lip tint. It seems like this cleansing oil alone could be sufficient for a thorough cleanse.
ConsThe main reason for using a cleansing oil is to remove excess sebum, and while this product cleanses well, I didn't notice a significant effect on sebum removal. Moreover, the emulsification process, which is crucial, doesn't seem to work smoothly. This led me to pump out more product initially, resulting in somewhat wasteful usage.

I've used various oil cleansers over the years, and I'm about halfway through the Hanyul Deep Cleansing Oil. So far, I'm quite pleased with how it feels on my skin. I have combination-oily skin in the T-zone and am prone to blemishes, so I considered switching to a cleansing water. However, this product changed my mind. Since I don't go for the 'no-makeup makeup' look but rather a full face, I was worried a cleansing water wouldn't effectively remove all my makeup. Surprisingly, the Hanyul Deep Cleansing Oil isn't overly rich, making it suitable even for my combination, blemish-prone skin. While no one relies solely on oil for cleansing, I found this product to feel refreshingly light compared to other oils, without that slippery sensation. It cleanses satisfactorily too. With other oil cleansers, I often felt residual oiliness even after double cleansing, but not with this one. Perhaps that's why my blemishes seem to have decreased lately. I bought two bottles based on online reviews alone. Initially, I regretted the double purchase, but as I continued using it, I realized it suits my skin quite well. Despite some drawbacks, it works well for my skin, feels good to use, and has decent ingredients (except for fragrance). I'm considering repurchasing after finishing both bottles!
ConsI bought two bottles of this cleanser based solely on reviews, without trying it first. After using it once or twice, my initial thought was, 'Oh no, I made a mistake... I should have tested it before buying more.' The main issue was that it doesn't emulsify well. Although I follow up with a foam cleanser, the emulsification process takes longer and seems less effective compared to other cleansing oils. I've adapted now with continued use, patiently massaging thoroughly during cleansing. When removing eye makeup, it inevitably gets into the eyes. Not only does it sting, but it also blurs vision - a phenomenon I've never experienced with other oil cleansers, which was quite disconcerting. Also, it's very runny for an oil, so be careful when using it. Half of it ends up spilled, which is such a waste! Lastly, this is subjective, but I personally dislike the scent. It's somewhat like mugwort, but not quite... Anyway, it's not for me.
TipTo help with the poor emulsification, gradually add small amounts of water while massaging thoroughly to remove any remaining makeup.

It removes makeup well, and its lightweight texture makes it perfect for summer use. The best part? Its subtle fragrance! It smells like a botanical garden or flower market, making the cleansing routine a stress-relieving experience. This product truly offers top-notch quality for its price. The packaging is simple yet elegant and beautiful. I'll likely be a Hanyul fan for a while. Highly recommended for those with dry or very dry skin.
ConsUpdate: After finishing the whole bottle, I don't think it lives up to its 'deep cleansing' name. While it does remove some sebum, it doesn't effectively clear out deeply embedded sebum. During summer, sebum kept accumulating while using this, so I eventually switched back to my previous cleanser.
TipFor those with oily skin, I'd recommend trying the Cl**** Th* D** cleansing balm instead. Personally, I found it more effective in removing sebum.

The emulsification happens instantly, leaving my skin feeling fresh and revitalized.
ConsI'm not sure if the emulsification process is complete, and I'm a bit concerned about potential residue left on my skin.
TipI like to roll it extensively around my nose area, then gently extract any sebum, rinse with water, and follow up with another round of rolling.

Unlike other cleansing oils that left my skin feeling tight, switching to this has banished that dry feeling. I've even been able to cut down on my skincare routine. Just applying toner keeps my face hydrated all day long.
ConsAfter removing all my makeup and rinsing with water, I don't feel like my skin is completely clean. It's as if there's some residue left behind. I've read somewhere that this film-like feeling is actually beneficial, supposedly creating a moisture barrier. While it's true that I don't experience any tightness after cleansing, I miss that squeaky-clean feeling I'm used to, which is a bit disappointing.
TipI've found that rinsing with lukewarm water helps reduce that 'not fully cleansed' sensation. Also, after cleansing, I quickly swipe my face with a cotton pad soaked in a light toner, then pat in a hyaluronic acid toner. The result? Incredibly hydrated skin!
