That was the worst cream I've ever tried. First of all, the spreadability is poor, and the white cast is too severe. It's so severe that you could mistake it for a tone-up cream. The product itself is extremely thick, so the clumps that come out of the tube don't spread well and don't absorb easily. Naturally, there's no moisture or freshness. Since I prefer lightweight, fresh products, this was a huge letdown for me. Also, after application, the sticky and oily combination leaves my face greasy, but when I touch it, the skin feels rough, and even using five oil blotting papers, the cream's oil just keeps coming out. I'm not sure if it's effective for soothing, moisturizing, whitening, or wrinkle improvement. I bought it based on a YouTuber's recommendation, but it was a huge disappointment. The worst part was the separation of the contents. I don't know if it was because I bought it on a slightly chilly day or if it got shaken too much on the way home, but the cream was completely separated. As soon as I opened the package and unscrewed the cap, the separated contents just poured out, and I was shocked to see the slightly bluish water, like spring water, constantly dripping. Because of this, I couldn't use it for 5 days after purchasing... Even though it's a cream, the water was just dripping out. But after leaving it alone for a while, the separated contents seemed to have mixed a bit, and now the water isn't coming out anymore, and the actual contents are coming out somewhat properly. But it was still an incredibly disappointing product. I have absolutely no intention of repurchasing it.

In May 2024, I used a peeling gel and my skin turned upside down. The area near my nose and cheeks was covered in acne, and it only got worse, never improving. It kept going up and down until October, and I kept going to the dermatologist and trying antibiotics and products good for acne, but nothing worked. At the end of September, I decided to apply a regenerative cream after extracting acne and sebum, and after comparing several regenerative creams, I purchased the Avène cream. I think the cause was: using a peeling gel > damaged skin barrier > acne + makeup > no recovery ⭐⭐️Skin Barrier Recovery Routine⭐️⭐️ 📍No skin makeup (sunscreen ok) - Since I have a job that requires wearing a mask, the friction from makeup and the mask was very irritating. I only applied sunscreen after my basic skincare, and it was fine. Definitely, in 2-3 weeks of not wearing foundation, my acne gradually subsided. But when I went out with my daily makeup on, the acne came back again.. 📍Skincare: Wellage Blue Ampoule + Avène SOS Cream (+ sunscreen when going out) - I have oily skin, so using too many products often clogged my pores and increased sebum, making my acne worse. I just repeated this morning and evening routine. I didn't touch any other products. Dry skin types can add a moisturizer after the ampoule. 📍Gentle cleansing: Wash with clean hands, gently roll with fingertips - My skin barrier was damaged, so even a slight irritation would easily cause redness. I had to wash very gently to prevent the heat from rising. 📍Use lukewarm water from start to finish (no cold water at the end) - Keep the water temperature similar to skin temperature to avoid any irritation. 📍If small bumps seem to be coming up, use Ecrinal Gel / If there's even a slight redness, use Acnone Cream >After applying the Avène cream, the redness and heat subsided in about 30 minutes, quickly calming down the temperature that would cause acne to flare up. This is my skin savior, my holy grail product. I'll keep buying it when I run out. + Applying this also gives a slight tone-up and glow, making my bare skin look so pretty!

I'm not sure how many I bought, it was just a first aid kit. :) The calming effect appears quickly. It can protect the moisture in the skin with a thin coating. Honestly, I think most of the people who bought this product did so because they needed calming, their skin was dry, their skin barrier was compromised, or they had problem skin. My skin was really painful - stinging, dryness, redness, and a lot of swelling and heat. Setting aside things like application and scent, I bought it with the thought that I could endure anything as long as my skin felt comfortable. It was a regenerative cream that was sufficient for my problematic skin. It helped calm my skin quickly after dermatological treatments, and it was helpful when my skin was very red and dry from flushing. When my skin barrier was compromised, it didn't hurt to apply.

The texture is not smooth. It's too thick, so the absorption is also slow. If you can't control the amount, it will cause a whitening effect. It's neither fragrance-free nor has a good fragrance, and when winter comes, the cream and thermal spring water separate. When it meets incompatible cosmetics, there is a creaming phenomenon.

Olive Young is still selling it, but is it a discontinued product...? Anyway, I tried the Avène Cicalfate Restorative Cream again, which has been famous since the old days and is the pioneer of the regenerative cream category! It's still really good. I've tried quite a few regenerative creams, but there's a reason I keep coming back to Avène Cicalfate... The packaging used to be like a thick ointment and would tear apart, but it's been changed and it's much better now!
Cons
First of all, the texture is a bit firm, like an ointment~! It's heavy and a bit oily, so it takes quite a while to absorb. The spreadability and absorbency have improved a lot compared to before, but it's still noticeably worse than other creams! If you have oily skin, adjusting the amount is a must!
