I'm not exaggerating when I say I've bought and used 5 of these! I keep one at home and one in my car. I discovered this sunscreen through YouTuber Yuri Shop and I'm so glad I did. I'm absolutely thrilled with it! First off, I have a fair complexion (around 13-17 shade), and sometimes when I apply foundation without a brightening moisturizer like this, I get that dreaded darkening effect. It's embarrassing when I remove my makeup and my natural skin looks lighter than where the foundation was (especially with The Face Shop foundations or Clio cushions). My sister, who has a darker skin tone, also loves this sunscreen because it completely prevents darkening when she applies foundation over it. If you rarely touch up your makeup, have fair skin, or struggle with foundation darkening, give this a try! This product made me realize how much sunscreen can impact darkening. I haven't seen this mentioned in other reviews, so I wanted to highlight it. Secondly, it provides just the right amount of brightening! I've tried many tone-up creams and sunscreens that go on thick and patchy, looking artificial and leaving a white cast. I prefer tone-up sunscreens over foundations for a subtle skin tone correction, especially in these mask-wearing times. This is one of the best I've used! It blends seamlessly into your skin, brightening it by about half a shade without looking unnatural or leaving a white cast. It works well for all skin tones - my mom, sister, and friend all have different complexions and they all love it! I think it's because it doesn't contain pigments like foundation that might not match your skin tone. Thirdly, it doesn't break down or look patchy as time goes on! Some tone-up creams can leave white patches around the nose or crack on the cheeks in dry, windy weather. This product starts off feeling very hydrating, but after a short while, it settles to a comfortably moisturized finish. The glow diminishes slightly over time, leaving a beautiful, natural look. Unlike with foundation, I don't get that itchy feeling on my forehead or worry about it transferring to my mask. It's so comfortable for long wear. There are so many other benefits - the puff is good quality, the case is durable, and it doesn't cause blemishes. There's a reason I've used 5 of these! Honestly, I can't think of any real drawbacks. If there were any significant issues, I wouldn't have repurchased it so many times! This is definitely a staple in my routine. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that because it's a cushion format, you might go through it quickly. But that's to be expected with sunscreen - you need to apply generously, and you're not as careful about product control as you might be with foundation. Here's my top tip: after applying this product, finish with a powder that has a bit of coverage, like Eglips powder or Anna Sui powder. This is perfect for those with minimal blemishes or very fair skin who struggle to find the right foundation shade. In summer, I prefer a more matte finish, so I apply this hydrating product underneath and finish with a slightly covering powder. The result looks like you're wearing foundation, but without the heaviness or discomfort. It's the ultimate 'mochi skin' look - dewy inside, velvety outside. You get that beautiful, bright complexion! For casual outings or quick errands, I just use this product alone. For more formal occasions, I finish with powder before doing the rest of my makeup. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 28, 2021
It's wonderfully moisturizing and has a great brightening effect. I really enjoy using it and would definitely recommend! It can be a bit drying and tends to break down slightly on my oily skin. Sadly, it's not perfect for me. - mg***Combination SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2021
I got to try the 'Labiotte UV Veil Sun Cushion'! I knew Labiotte for their famous wine-shaped tints, but now I've experienced their sun cushion too! As the spring sun gets harsh and it's easy to tan, it can be quite challenging to reapply sunscreen when you're out. That's when this handy sun cushion comes in clutch! This sun cushion is said to have an EWG green grade formulation, making it gentle on the skin. Plus, it's a mineral sunscreen - perfect for someone like me who can't use chemical sunscreens due to facial redness. With its high UV protection of SPF 50+ PA++++, it's fantastic even for summer use. The puff is soft and works great with the cushion. Although the sun cushion is white, it provides a natural brightening effect and sets well, so it doesn't transfer onto masks. That's a win! I'm using it with complete satisfaction, without any particular downsides to mention! - 2e********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 9, 2021
I love how moisturizing and gentle it feels! It's great that it doesn't cause any blemishes on my skin. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin. It's a bit too hydrating. However, since I don't have oily skin, I enjoyed using it! - hy*******Combination SkinAcne SkinNov 16, 2020
I love the cooling effect it provides. I bought it to use on foundation-free days since it has a slight white cast. It really emphasizes pores and dead skin cells... At first application it seems fine, but as it breaks down it becomes quite messy. Even though I have oily skin, it still feels dry... I don't think I'll repurchase this once I finish it. - pe*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJun 20, 2020
One of the best things about this sunscreen is that it doesn't leave residue on your hands. That's a huge plus, especially in hot summers when most sunscreens feel heavy and uncomfortable, no matter how 'fresh' they claim to be. Even my guy friend, who absolutely hates applying sunscreen, volunteered to put it on first when he heard it doesn't stick to your hands! When applied to the face, it doesn't feel excessively oily or suffocating - just your average sunscreen sensation. There's a subtle hint of brightening effect too. I have blemishes near my hairline and tend to have oily skin, but this product didn't cause any additional breakouts. It's perfect for those looking for a pure sunscreen in a convenient cushion format, without any foundation ingredients. Lately, due to COVID and frequent mask-wearing, I've been going makeup-free. When I do wear makeup, I finish with this product and just lightly dust some powder to control any excess oil. I think I'll definitely opt for a compact-type sunscreen like this next time I'm shopping for sun protection! No real complaints here. It would be nice if it felt a bit more fresh on the skin, but I suppose some level of richness is unavoidable with sunscreens. It's great for use anytime, anywhere - I even applied it on my arms! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 2, 2019
The scent is lovely. While some people mention a white cast, I find the brightening effect quite nice. I suppose we have to accept some white cast with mineral sunscreens, right? Oh no! The only downside is that there's not enough product. Seriously! It's so hydrating that you won't need to apply many other skincare products. - eu*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresMar 31, 2019
I really liked that it has a high SPF and provides excellent sun protection. It performs well as a sun cushion. When applied before makeup, I felt it caused some pilling and didn't absorb well. Even on days when I only used the sun cushion, I noticed it slightly clumping around my pores. For those who prefer a dewy makeup look, it's best to let the product absorb completely before applying makeup. - wo********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedOct 23, 2018
Great ingredients! The case is sturdy and pretty. It moisturizes and provides a natural brightening effect. Being in compact form, it's convenient to reapply throughout the day, unlike liquid sunscreens. The texture finishes like a primer, so it should work well for those who wear makeup. It seemed to emphasize my pores a bit. Perhaps it's just an issue with my pores... Hope you find a better owner, little one. This would be great for touch-ups. - sr*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2018
First off, the ingredients are gentle, and despite not using artificial fragrances, it smells lovely. The puff is great, and the case feels lightweight and sturdy once you remove the mirror. After using it for a few days, I noticed it didn't cause any blemishes on my sensitive skin, which speaks to how gentle the ingredients truly are. It feels wonderfully cool and hydrating when applied, which is quite pleasant. However, while it feels moisturizing during application, it does leave a slightly oily finish afterwards. There is some white cast, but that's typical of mineral sunscreens, so it can't be helped. I have combination skin with an extremely oily T-zone, and if I don't manage my whiteheads before applying, they become very noticeable. Since I'm used to matte sunscreens, I find the slightly oily finish of this product less comfortable. My skin isn't in great condition, so applying this seems to highlight its flaws - mainly oiliness and whiteheads. This might be an excellent product for those with naturally good skin, as it seems to protect without damaging. The mirror inside the case isn't very clear, which might be inconvenient for those who use it. While I've listed quite a few downsides, they're mostly due to my skin issues. The product itself seems well-made overall. I usually went out wearing just this product without any makeup. If you're using it as a base for makeup, I'd suggest applying your skincare products, then this sunscreen, followed by a matte foundation or cushion for the best results.
