Surprisingly good coverage. Some cushions darken over time, but La Mer's stays truer to color, which is very satisfying.
ConsChallenging to control the amount dispensed. I recommend applying very carefully at first.

It's moisturizing and gives a nice skin finish. Depending on your base skincare, you can achieve either a glowy or matte look. It doesn't settle into pores much either.
ConsThe coverage... oh dear, the coverage is really lacking. And the price... it's just too expensive for what it offers.

The color isn't too bright, giving a natural look.
ConsIt doesn't adhere as well as expected, so it transfers a bit onto masks. However, it's not too bad.

I don't think there's a better product for achieving a natural makeup look.
ConsWith my combination skin, it can get excessively oily when my skin isn't at its best. When it breaks down, it seems to almost completely disappear.

The staying power is impressive too, lasting for hours.
ConsI honestly can't find any drawbacks. It works incredibly well for me!

Skin type: Dry skin with blemish marks Shade: I usually use the lightest foundation shade. La Mer's Pink Porcelain was more natural than radiant on my skin tone. Hydration: The texture feels moisturizing, but it sets to a matte finish on the skin. It might be better suited for normal to oily skin types. Coverage: It has better coverage than the Chanel cushion. It doesn't conceal all imperfections but evens out the overall complexion. I was considering repurchasing the Chanel cushion but wanted to try something new. Turns out Chanel works better for my skin. Chanel offers more radiance and glow, while La Mer provides better coverage and a more powdery finish. It didn't transfer much onto my mask - that's a plus!
ConsScent: It has a pleasant fragrance, but I'm not a fan of strong scents in cosmetics, so I probably won't repurchase it.
TipFor dry skin like mine, especially in winter, applying a drop of facial oil around the cheeks before using the cushion works perfectly. It creates a healthy, glowing complexion.

As someone with very dry skin, I loved how well it adhered even when applied over heavy skincare layers.
ConsControlling the amount is crucial. If you're not careful, it can go on too thick, so you need to use a puff and apply it with a scraping motion.

The hydration lasts for hours without fading. The scent is absolutely delightful. The puff applies the product beautifully. A single dab provides enough product, so you can cover your entire face with just a few applications.
ConsThe La Mer name comes with a wicked price tag. It's so moisturizing that it transfers onto masks. And the case scratches easily. I'm the type who just tosses things in my bag, so when I carry it around, this is what happens.
TipWhen applying this, pat it on gently right after your skincare routine. Don't rub it in, or it will pill. By patting it, the product absorbs better and adheres more closely to your skin for a flawless finish.

It's my holy grail cushion! The case is stunningly beautiful and can be used as a mirror. It gives a natural luminous finish that makes your skin look luxurious. The cushion applies thinly and moisturizes well. The product quantity is quite generous, so it lasts a long time. The puff absorbs and releases the product effectively, and its texture is soft. It covers pores well without feeling heavy. There's minimal fading, and it truly looks gorgeous. Although it's a high-end item at $150, with refills available, it comes to about $75 per unit, which is comparable to most department store cosmetics (and relatively affordable compared to La Mer's skincare products).
ConsThe mirror-like case tends to get scratched easily. Since it's a moisturizing cushion, in these mask-wearing times, you'll need to set it with powder or use a fixing spray. Otherwise, it will transfer, but it won't completely rub off.
TipPro tip for achieving a luxurious skin look: Before applying the cushion, use La Mer's Hydrating Illuminator as a makeup base. It's truly magical! It's a pearlescent cream that creates a natural, subtle glow with just a small amount, giving your skin a radiant effect. It's totally worth the price! It's also travel-friendly, so I use it daily in my makeup routine. Since the La Mer cushion is quite saturated, gently press the sponge and start applying from the outer parts of your cheeks. In these mask-wearing times, to prevent transfer, it's best to apply thin layers and build up coverage gradually.

The cushion I reach for on bad skin days - Effectively covers pores - Easy to touch up - Sturdy case
Cons- Expensive - Color selection requires care (unusual shades make it tricky to choose, testing is essential) - Nice moisturizing application, but oil tends to surface over time - Transfers significantly onto masks
