Haha, this palette has some original shades, but it's mostly made up of color combinations inspired by other brands. But you know what? If it's filled with beautiful colors, isn't that something to be happy about? (They're not even trying to hide the color inspiration, lol!) The palette I'm reviewing is the 4th Ness 6-color palette. While there's a bit of excess powder, the color payoff is beautiful. With matte base shades, shimmers, and colors suitable for eyelines and blending, this one palette can do it all. Mini-reviews: 1. Cotton Coral: A mix between Laura Mercier's Ginger and MAC's Shell Peach. Beautiful as a base or on its own for a lovely look. 2. Night Moon: My top pick! It's a champagne color with a shimmery base and evenly distributed fine gold glitter. There are many champagne shades out there, but this one nails that luxurious feel. It looks beige to the naked eye, but when applied, it transforms into a bright, sophisticated shade. 3. Tender Peach: This is clearly inspired by MAC's Paradisco, though Paradisco leans a bit more orange. 4. Rich Cork: This is basically MAC's Mulch, but with subtler shimmer. It's a versatile color that's likely to be popular. 5. Flat White: Imagine a light brown with a hint of beige mixed in. It's an incredibly charming color. 6. Sparkle Coconut: Similar to NARS Galapagos, though Galapagos is richer, more vivid, and has more intense gold shimmer. (Sparkle Coconut isn't bad, Galapagos is just superior.) They've basically collected all the popular high-end eyeshadows in one palette! And the price? Unbelievably affordable! While it's not a new release, I have fun every time I use it. Why? Because this palette contains dupes for Laura Mercier, MAC, NARS, and more! Haha, there are no real downsides! Please don't discontinue this - it's such a useful palette, especially for beginners! SHOCKING UPDATE: I checked the ingredients and it contains talc. Not recommended! Talc is bad for you... About Rich Cork (number 4): It's a shimmer shadow with subtle shine. I like to use this type of subtle shimmer to touch up my eyebrows as a final step. You know how healthy, well-groomed dogs have shiny coats? Using a subtle shimmer like this as a final touch on your eyebrows can give them a healthy, glossy look! Just be careful - if the shimmer is too strong, it might reflect too much under bright sunlight or fluorescent lights, making your brows look whitish. That's why I recommend using something with the subtle shimmer level of Rich Cork for this eyebrow finishing touch. - bo********Dry SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 23, 2021
First off, I didn't actually buy this palette myself - my sister gave me hers. And since it was my first It's Skin palette, I didn't have high expectations. But oh my goodness, it's gorgeous! Especially that middle shade in the top row - the matte pearl finish is absolutely stunning. I've been reaching for it a lot lately, pairing it with a smudged dark eyeliner for a perfect look! Pigmentation: While it looks quite intense in photos, in reality, the shimmers make it less stark and more natural-looking when applied. Texture: I've tried many palettes, and honestly, this one feels great to use. I was familiar with It's Skin before, but with many physical stores closing, some might not know the brand. For warm-toned folks, this is really worth trying! Convenience: It's true that this palette is a bit larger than some super-compact ones, and I usually prefer smaller palettes. But I keep reaching for this one... Maybe it's because the shadows are generously sized and easy to use. It's perfect as an everyday palette to keep on your vanity for quick access! There's not really anything to complain about... Though I think if they updated the design to be a bit more trendy, sales might increase. The current grey case is quite dull, which might make some people hesitate to buy it. - ch******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedDec 30, 2020
The color selection is fantastic, allowing me to complete my entire makeup look with just one palette. I love how the shades are vibrant and radiant. I'm using this palette without any complaints. It's really great! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 24, 2020
The color palette is harmonious, and all shades have a pearlescent finish. You can mix and match any of them, and the result always looks stunning. The staying power is incredibly weak. It's the worst I've experienced among all the eyeshadows I've tried. - yy*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2019
I personally bought this palette for the sixth color. I love matte shadows with a touch of shimmer, and this brown shade with its unique pearl finish really caught my eye. It's the main reason I decided to purchase it. The palette is predominantly shimmery shades, which doesn't work well for my monolids. However, that's not the only reason I can't recommend it. Overall, the eyeshadows tend to clump and don't apply evenly, making it difficult to achieve a smooth, consistent color payoff. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 6, 2019
It's truly comfortable to use, and it absorbs so well without any excess powder flying around. It's such a breeze to apply! There's nothing to complain about. I think this is genuinely an excellent product... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 7, 2019
Starting from the top left: Cotton Coral, Night Moon, Tender Peach Rich Cork, Flat White, Sparkle Coconut Only Cotton Coral is matte, while the rest have a pearlescent finish The shimmer is subtle and not overwhelming These colors are more flattering for warm skin tones None of the shades are too light or too deep Perfect for everyday, versatile looks! Cotton Coral and Tender Peach have a slight difference in tone, but it's mainly the presence of shimmer While not exactly the Pantone Living Coral, the light apricot-peach coral shade is beautiful Surprisingly, Sparkle Coconut isn't too deep It's a lovely chocolate brown that I really like! I did a makeup look with coral vibes on top for a spring feel~ And brown tones on the bottom for a rich effect There's minimal excess and the texture is smooth and fine The color payoff is good too~ It feels like I've finally found a palette I truly love♡ Depending on how you combine the coral and brown, gold-bronze shades This eyeshadow palette can create various moods and looks! I wish the coral shades had a bit more intensity in their color payoff~ - ch******Oily SkinRecommendedMar 28, 2019
The price! I was surprised by how affordable it is. The colors are all so wearable, not a single shade to discard. The magnetic closure makes it convenient to open and close. I found the staying power to be quite satisfactory. The packaging tends to collect fingerprints easily. The portability could be improved. For a stunning look, start by applying Cotton Coral as a base. Then, use Tender Peach along your crease line. Add depth with Sparkle Coconut at the inner and outer corners of your eyes. Dab Flat White in the center of your lids for a pop. Finally, brush Night Moon on your aegyo sal (under-eye area) for that perfect finishing touch! - sa********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 8, 2019
This is my introduction to It's Skin products. I bought it for casual daily use without any pressure. Personally, I love combining this with The Face Shop's Toast Shadow for a rich cork effect. The stores are only located near subway stations, which might be inconvenient for those who don't have a subway station close to home. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 21, 2019
The color range is truly beautiful, and the shimmer is just right. The pigmentation is excellent too. I love that every single shade is highly versatile! It's perfect for warm-toned daily makeup looks. I bought it on sale, and I'm amazed at the quality I got for such a great price. To be honest, I initially purchased it because of the discount, but I wouldn't have regretted paying full price at all! The packaging is luxurious and I'm absolutely in love with it. There's nothing particularly negative to mention. If I had to nitpick, the only thing would be that there's no built-in space for a brush inside the palette...? Personally, I tend to carry the palette around and touch up my makeup once or twice a day... Other than that, everything else is great.
