I feel the price is a bit high compared to the amount of product.

The best part was the good ingredients.
I also liked that the toner bottle has a pump dispenser, so it doesn't pour out too quickly.
The simple design and lack of a strong, unpleasant fragrance were also positives.
The moisturizing effect was average. While it's a gel toner, it didn't have the feel of a gel-type moisturizer. It was more like a slightly less runny water toner, with a moisturizing level similar to a water toner.

The formula was moist and watery, so it seemed to stay on my skin longer than regular toners. Since I don't have large pores, I gave it to a friend who has enlarged pores, and she said it worked as shown in the photo. :) I don't expect too much from toners, as long as they provide hydration, I think they've done their job. It also seemed to slightly tighten the pores a bit. ~;)

It also absorbs well when applying makeup and doesn't pill. The moisturizing effect lasts a long time too!

As others have mentioned, the scent is the 'downside' - it has a chemical-like smell haha. But in a way, that's also a positive since it doesn't contain any fragrances.

The Hwahae Trial Reviewer was great, but my phone broke so I forgot about it. Now that I'm using the product again, I should write a review! 
You can see from the other Hwahae Trial Reviewers' feedback that I've been using it for over two seasons.
In the summer when my skin was really irritated, I applied it three to four layers. In the transitional seasons and winter, I applied it twice before putting on my cream to help with dryness.
It wasn't sticky at all and absorbed pretty quickly! I have very dehydrated skin, so this moisturizing gel product worked really well for me.

The size is way too cute for the price... I used to use it as a toner, and the bottle I got with that purchase is about the same size. It's expensive.

It absorbs well, applies smoothly, and leaves a lightweight feel. It's a liquid type but not particularly sticky or moist. There's no noticeable change after applying, but it doesn't cause any trouble either, so I think it's quite decent.

If your skin is dry, I recommend this toner.

There are no disappointing aspects in terms of quality.

After cleansing, dispense it into your hands and pat it onto your face to absorb it. Massage it upwards 10 times on your neck and make circular motions 10 times on your cheeks.
If you use it together with a moisturizer, you can achieve an even more hydrated and plump skin.

My cheeks and forehead are dry, and my T-zone is slightly oily. I don't have any redness. I ordered the pure essence toner because I really needed it, but when I applied it to my face, the itchy sensation was unbearably strong, and it was all over my face. I felt a persistent peach fuzz-like irritation on my face.
So I couldn't stand it and just washed my face again and stopped using it.

It has a very moisturizing feel at first, but the lasting hydration is a bit lacking.
The distinctive scent disappears after about 30 seconds.
The formula is a transparent gel-type toner, but it doesn't feel sticky at all and absorbs immediately, making it great to use in the summer and early fall.
