The soap feels a bit firm, but it lathers up really well! It's also great at cleansing, removing all the oil from your face. It's almost as effective as a foam cleanser! I love the scent too, it's really nice! It's fantastic to use in the shower! I have oily skin, so I find that soap cleans better than body wash. This product leaves me feeling squeaky clean after showering! I actually prefer using it for my body rather than for facial cleansing. There are just two downsides I've noticed: 1. Similar to other reviews, the soap gets soft when wet. My sibling splashed water on it during their shower, and it became mushy. It dried out quickly once I set it aside to dry properly. If you dry it well after each use, it should last longer. 2. I have oily, acne-prone skin. At first, it seemed fine, but after a while, my face felt really tight after washing - almost like I'd used a pore strip! I looked into it and found out there's an ingredient that's not great for oily skin. Apart from that, it's good, but it's a bit pricey. I probably won't repurchase it myself - maybe if someone gifts it to me! Make sure to dry it well after use to make it last longer. It works better as a body soap in the shower than as a facial cleanser! - db******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 1, 2020
This soap is definitely better compared to other cleansing bars! It has good cleansing effectiveness, but what's great is how it preserves some moisture on your face after washing. The scent is nice, and I love that I don't feel any immediate deep dryness after cleansing. Plus, it lathers up really well! The more you use this, the more incredibly mushy it becomes... Eventually, it loses its shape completely, becoming like dough that you can mold with your hands. Now I'm just rubbing it with a net on top of the soap dish where it's stuck. It's such a waste! This is its biggest drawback - it's hard to use this soap properly until the end. When storing it, you should keep it in a case with a lid to use it longer, or place it somewhere water doesn't splash easily. Using a net to create lather seems to improve the cleansing effectiveness. You only need to apply a tiny bit to the net, and it creates rich, abundant foam! - cu**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 13, 2019
I received this as a gift and started using it by chance. Thanks to the mud particles, it exfoliates dead skin cells effectively and leaves my skin feeling so hydrated. It's really amazing! I've tried mixing it with other products, but when I used it alone, I found it works best when paired with a moisturizer that suits my skin well. My skin has all sorts of issues, but now many of them have calmed down significantly. I'm thinking of purchasing it again when I run out. Before I found a moisturizer that worked well for me, using this product alone was a bit irritating to my skin. I'm not sure if it was due to pollution or not. - wo****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 5, 2019
I tried it once, and compared to other soaps, it seems to effectively remove sebum from my nose. After using it, my face felt incredibly smooth. While it doesn't completely eliminate sebum, I plan to use it for an extended period to see long-term results. When you use a foam net to lather it up, you get a rich, creamy foam that's quite abundant. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedAug 17, 2019
Every summer, my body skin suffers from eczema, and my face breaks out with pustular acne and tiny bumps. I've been using a Houttuynia cordata soap for a month with no improvement, so I was about to buy another one when I discovered this. After the first use, the itchiness on my face significantly decreased. After the second use, the dark patches from scratching my eczema started to fade and became less itchy. Now, after a week of use, the tiny bumps and pustular acne on my face have completely disappeared, and the eczema discoloration on my neck has faded considerably. I'm even more pleased that my skin feels surprisingly moisturized after using the soap. There's not really any downside, except that the soap can become a bit mushy if you don't dry it properly after use. Using a foam net creates a good lather. I use it for my second cleanse on my face, and for my body, I just massage the soap foam with my hands and rinse off after 2-3 minutes. The cleansing effectiveness seems great even without using a shower puff, as my skin doesn't feel any residue, which I love. In summer, I always struggle with sebum control and especially with atopic eczema, but I feel like I've found my holy grail with this product.
