I don't see any reason to splurge on this moisturizer that isn't even particularly affordable. You have to rub it in for a long time to get rid of the white cast and for it to absorb. The artificial fragrance is too noticeable and unnatural, which makes it off-putting. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 10, 2023
The hydration is excellent! When I apply it before bed, I wake up with skin as soft as a baby's bottom! It does feel a bit heavy on the skin. Nevertheless, I'm using it without any major issues! For best absorption, it's better to spread a small amount over a wider area. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 14, 2023
A decent cream. It seems to provide good hydration and feels gentle on the skin. There weren't any noticeable effects, and the amount you get is small for the price. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 5, 2022
It feels like applying a regular emulsion. The hydration was decent. I also like that the scent is mild. This might be better for evening use or during spring, fall, and winter. It feels a bit rich? Perhaps that's why when I apply it in the morning and wear a mask all day, my nose and cheek areas break out... and of course, my forehead too. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedSep 2, 2022
Hydrating and improves skin texture! A holy grail I stumbled upon during a trip to Germany. My skin is somewhere between normal and dry, but when I apply this before bed, I wake up with baby-soft skin. Unlike aloe-based creams that just provide moisture and leave my face puffy with excess oil and unabsorbed product in the morning, this cream solves that problem perfectly. It's pricey... And due to Lush's nature, you need to use it quickly, which can make you feel rushed. No need for anything else - just an exfoliating toner + Celestial combo is all you need year-round! - rl**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 25, 2022
Skin type: Extremely dry, sensitive, with enlarged pores on nose and cheeks, and occasional blemishes around the mouth once a month A godsend for extremely dry skin that even oils, moisturizers, and balms couldn't fix! In winter, you can skip serums and oils - this cream alone does the job Wake up without any greasiness; instead, the cream absorbs so well, leaving skin feeling soft and fresh Despite ingredients that might seem heavy and potentially blemish-inducing, it doesn't cause any breakouts at all The price is quite high for the amount you get However, it's worth it for its effectiveness Not recommended for oily skin types - js****Dry SkinAtopic SkinNov 20, 2021
The scent is like yogurt - a surprisingly subtle fragrance for Lush. That's about all the positives. • They claim their synthetic preservatives are safe, but they use methylparaben, triethanolamine, propylparaben, etc. It seems hypocritical to market themselves as natural and vegan with these ingredients. • The absorption is terrible! It just sits on top of the skin without sinking in. • Ridiculously overpriced! - qd****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 1, 2021
The hydration was fantastic, and the texture wasn't too sticky. Once absorbed, it left my skin feeling wonderfully moisturized. It provides such a nice finish that you don't even need to apply a separate oil. I highly recommend this for those with atopic dermatitis. (However, if you have oily skin or dislike a rich finish, and prefer quick absorption, this might not be for you.) If I had to point out one drawback, I wish they'd change the preservative ingredient. It's already on the pricier side, so I'd prefer if they switched to a more cost-effective preservative. While I love products with powerful hydration, if you can't stand even the slightest feeling of product sitting on your skin, you might want to skip this. As someone with atopic dermatitis, I found this incredibly gentle on my skin. - ki*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 28, 2021
Perfect for dry skin in spring and autumn. For winter, Skin Drink works better. While not quite as hydrating as Skin Drink, Celestial still gives an amazing dewy glow. Being a hydrating cream, I can overlook the small quantity. But it's made in Japan, so why not price it the same as in Japan? - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 6, 2020
It seems to boast quick absorption and decent hydration. The scent is a really sweet vanilla fragrance - you might worry it could cause small blemishes, but I didn't experience any skin issues. It's truly an easy-to-use, versatile cream. Oh, while the case and contents look like a cream, it functions more like a moisturizer. If you're looking for a product that's not too rich, this is a great choice. Compared to the Skin's Shangri-La sample they provided, which is an oily and heavy moisturizer, Celestial feels like a lightweight hydration. I heard that for Asia, it's produced in Japan... And the price... oh boy... While I do recommend it, I don't plan to repurchase. It becomes wonderfully hydrating when mixed with a matte foundation.
