When applied, it gives off more of a pearlescent glow than a pink hue. While the color is pretty, it has a strong metallic feel. It's much closer to a gold metallic shadow than a pink one. If you're expecting a pink shade, I'd recommend checking out the swatches at Sephora before purchasing!
ConsFirst off, I didn't realize Tarte had Japanese affiliations until after I bought it, which was quite shocking as I've been avoiding such brands. I thought it was a pressed cream shadow, but it turned out to be a loose powder that flies everywhere. You can press it together with your fingers, but the powder form makes it inconvenient to use. I expected a pink or rose-gold tone, but was surprised by how strong the pearl effect is. It's not particularly cheap for a single shadow either. At this price point, you might be better off spending a bit more for a high-quality department store brand, or even opting for one of the many great options from road shops these days. Everyone was raving about this product, but even setting aside the Japanese connection, I was objectively disappointed compared to my expectations.

The camera just can't capture it. It has this metallic feel, like a gold metallic with a burst of pink... It's as if NARS Orgasm became an eyeshadow, but with an even stronger presence. There's no such thing as a light application here - this shadow makes a bold statement. And when you layer it over other eyeshadows? It blends so beautifully, it's unreal. The color is just... This shadow perfectly demonstrates why foreign beauty YouTubers are so obsessed with metallics. Once you fall for its charm, there's no going back.
ConsThe application method is quite unique - you need to tap it directly onto your skin. Because of this, when you first open it, powder flies everywhere. But it's worth it for how beautiful it is. Make sure to swatch it at Sephora if you can.
TipIt's pretty on its own, but it really shines when used with other products. It's perfect for creating a highlight on the tip of your nose. Using a brush seems easier than applying it with your fingers.
