The color is rose-colored + gold pearl. When you actually apply it, the pearly feel is much more prominent than the pink tone. The color is pretty, but it has a very metallic feel. It's closer to a gold metallic eyeshadow rather than a pink eyeshadow, so if you're thinking of buying it thinking it's a pink eyeshadow, it's best to swatch it at Sephora first. First of all, I was in the process of filtering out right-wing content, so I didn't know beforehand that Tarte is a Japanese-affiliated company. That was a shock to me. Also, I thought it was a compressed cream-type eyeshadow, but it was actually a loose powder. You can compact it by pressing it with your fingers, but as a powder type, it's not very convenient to use. And I bought it thinking it would be a pink, rose-gold kind of color, but the pearl effect is much stronger than I expected... It's also not that cheap for a single eyeshadow. For this price, I'd rather save up a bit more and get a higher quality department store brand, or even some nice drugstore options that have been coming out lately. Everyone was raving about how pretty it is, but even setting aside the fact that it's a Japanese product, I'm objectively disappointed compared to my expectations. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 3, 2019
Ah, you really have to see the actual swatch for this... The camera just can't capture it. It has a metallic feel, but it's a gold metallic with a pop of pink. The Nars Orgasm eyeshadow has such a strong presence. There's no soft, subtle color here - it's bold and unapologetic. But you can layer it over other shadows, and it just blends so beautifully. The color is just... Wow. No wonder foreign beauty vloggers are so obsessed with metallic shadows like this one. I can't get enough of its appeal. The application method is quite unique - you have to dab it on after application. That means there's a bit of fallout when you first open it. Haha. But it's worth it because the end result is so pretty. You definitely have to swatch this at Sephora. It's gorgeous on its own, but it really shines when you pair it with other shadows. It makes the most beautiful, glowing highlight on the high points of the face. Brush application is easier than finger swatching, in my opinion.
