It's great for use after applying basic skincare. Since it's not too strong, it won't leave your skin feeling overly dry when used in the morning. The Centella Asiatica extract helps strengthen the skin barrier, which is a big plus!
ConsIt would have been more convenient if it came in a pump bottle. I've repurchased the large size of Kiehl's Calendula Cleanser several times, and I think a pump dispenser would make it easier to use.
TipHighly recommended for those who get small bumps due to dry skin! At first, I knew it wouldn't lather much due to the lack of surfactants. But when rinsing, it forms small droplets on oily areas, making me wonder if it was actually a cleansing cream. I even called the Kiehl's store to double-check! It is indeed a foam cleanser. Although it might feel like it's not removing oil completely, after rinsing thoroughly (10+ times), I found that those little bumps caused by dryness disappeared. I strongly recommend it as a morning cleanser, especially for skin without makeup!
