After the color fades, it leaves a pink stain. As someone with warm-toned skin, I'm not a fan of tints that leave a pink residue, so that's a bit disappointing. Some might find the case small, but with use, you'll realize it's the perfect size. The unique tint-oil blend tends to get cloudy and mix up over time, which can look a bit messy. That's when you'll want to refresh with a new one. For a more noticeable plumping effect, I find the original or pink shimmer gloss formulas work better.

This is my go-to lip plumper. The formula feels like a blend of tint and oil, and it instantly makes my lips feel harmonious. The plumping effect doesn't dramatically inflate your lips, but it does visibly smooth out fine lines. It's not sticky or tacky, making it perfect for summer use. When paired with the pink shimmer version, it adds a beautiful glossy finish. While others describe the color as a toned-down red, to me it's more of a dark plum shade, almost like a blackcherry - think vampire lips. It's an ideal shade for cool-toned skin. I wish they'd release a warm-toned version with the same formula. This is one of the few lip products I always keep in stock.

I have thin lips, so I thought this would plump them up and leave a slight reddish tint. But I was shocked when it turned out to be the color of blood! My lips are prone to dead skin cells, and this product dries quickly, making the flakiness even worse. The color isn't natural at all - it's like I smeared grape juice or cherry on my lips. It doesn't apply evenly, and the stain on the inner part of my lips makes me look ill.

To make matters worse, it doesn't come off easily. The texture and scent are both unpleasant!

Considering the price, rating, and amount, don't you think this needs improvement? Are you just going to leave it as is? You should either revamp this or release a completely new plumping lip product.

Zero staying power and it causes an insane amount of dead skin cells (even when applying a moisturizing lip balm on top). Every time you close the cap, unless you're extremely careful, it spills out everywhere, getting all over your hands and makeup bag. It's a mess! I bought it because it was popular, but I can't understand why it's so famous...

If you apply just the tint alone, unless you're Kristen Stewart from Twilight, your lips will look overly red. Applying the original Lip Venom over it can give a glossy, healthier look.

The amount, 2.96ml, is really small. There's a lot of product waste too. If tint remains on the applicator tip, it spills out and smears all over the opening when you put it back in the container. If the cap isn't tightly closed, it leaks out. With such a small amount, this waste is significant. The price feels high considering these factors. While the glitter in the case looks pretty, it's disappointing that it's not visible once applied to the lips.

The color payoff is really impressive. It's a deep, toned-down red that shows up beautifully on the lips. The staying power is excellent. Even with a lip remover, it doesn't come off easily, and it stains the dead skin cells on your lips a vibrant red. It's hard to remove even when it gets on your hands. The staining power is absolutely top-notch! The scent is similar to cinnamon, with a tingling sensation like a plumper. It's separated into water and oil layers, with glitter in the red water layer, which looks pretty.
