ConsThere's really nothing bad to say...! If I had to mention one thing, it might be that the container can get a bit messy with use?

It's excellent at combating deep dryness, leaving the skin feeling comfortable and hydrated! I've been using the Dr.G Barrier line, and when I apply this followed by the ampoule from the same line, the synergy effect is fantastic.
ConsAt 160ml, the volume feels a bit less compared to other toners, yet the price... Also, given its watery consistency, the wide opening makes it inconvenient to dispense. The round, screw-top lid tends to roll around easily and often falls off my vanity.

I received it and used it for 2 weeks until yesterday! The price is 25,000 won and the fragrance is like a pine scent! As you can see from the attached photo, it is divided into layers.~ It was introduced as a moisturizing toner with an oil layer and a moisture layer! I shook the oil layer and the moisture layer to mix them, and I used it about 1-2 times. Since it's a moisturizing toner and I was worried that it might get greasy if I applied it to the oily parts, the oil layer is not too much and the ratio is just right, so there was no slippery or greasy feeling when I applied it! :) And I used it as a skin pack for a week, and it sank in well (I did it for about 10 minutes!) and the moisture went deep into the skin, and even when I layered it, it was absorbed better than expected without feeling heavy on the skin.♡
ConsThe really disappointing thing was that although everything was good, the packaging and the amount were disappointing... When I try to put it on a cotton pad, unless I press the opening tightly, it leaks from the container, and the amount control is not easy either. Even if you're not using it like a 7-skin method toner or a lotion like me, 160ml seems a bit small, doesn't it? ㅠㅠ
Tip1. Wipe it off with a cotton pad like a toner and share the remaining amount with your neck! 2. After dividing the cotton pad in half, apply the skin to the cotton pad and attach it as a skin pack to the troubled/dry areas of the skin. (Great for acne/moisture...♡)

First of all, this is a water-based toner, and I feel like it has done an excellent job as a cleansing toner. As a Hwahae Trial Reviewer, I'd like to share the specific advantages that I've noticed. (I have combination/oily skin) 1. GOOD👍 as a morning skincare base for those with dry/combination skin This toner absorbs quickly, and while it has a slightly oily finish before absorption, I was able to apply my makeup right after using the toner without any cream, and it worked really well! I'd recommend this toner alone in the evening for those with very oily skin. 2. Not unpleasantly scented, despite having no added fragrance Fragrances are commonly added to cosmetics to create a pleasant scent, but many people are aware that fragrances can be an irritant. While I've had to abandon some products due to unpleasant scents, this toner's scent was actually quite nice - a refreshing, subtle fragrance. I was pleasantly surprised, as I'm quite sensitive to scents. 3. Leaves a supple feeling after absorption😙 Even though this is just a toner, not a cream or serum, I noticed a pleasant, supple feeling after it absorbed, which suggests it's effectively replenishing moisture. The suppleness doesn't last forever, but I think it's a testament to this toner's ability to provide hydration. I felt this product was very gentle the entire time I used it, and I'd confidently recommend it to those with sensitive skin as well.
ConsI believe that no cosmetic product can be 100% perfect in this world. Let me share the drawbacks I've experienced: 1. Tends to drip when applying with hands I used this a lot as a cleansing toner, and it does feel very moisturizing when applied with the hands. However, the product opening is a bit large, so a few drops would often drip out when dispensing, which was quite wasteful. Those who apply it with their hands should be cautious about this.☆ 2. Slight tightness after absorption Around 10-15 minutes after absorption, I start to feel a slight tightening sensation. For oily skin types, adding this toner once more would likely be fine, but for dry skin, especially very dry skin, I wouldn't recommend using this as the sole product. Even for normal-to-dry skin types, an additional hydrating serum or cream may be necessary.
Tip👉I really enjoyed using this toner as a nighttime facial mask. I would soak my cotton pads generously with the toner and apply them as a pack before bed. Even without refrigerating the toner, I found it had a nice cooling sensation, and it seemed to provide more effective hydration.

The good hydration of the skin seemed to provide a very comfortable feeling. So the initial experience and the moisturizing performance were satisfactory. Even though I have sensitive skin, I used it morning and evening for about 10 days, and I didn't experience any irritation, redness, or breakouts at all! Normally when I use a product that doesn't suit my skin, I can feel the issues right away, but fortunately, the Fillagrin Barrier Toner seemed to work well with my skin type. The product description also mentions that it "opens the hydration pathway of the skin." I was quite impressed by this aspect as well. Normally, after completing the 3-toner steps and applying the ampoule, I would still feel like the skin wasn't as deeply hydrated, and I had to kind of force the moisture and nutrients with the ampoule. But when I used the Fillagrin Toner as the middle toner step and then applied the ampoule, I felt the ampoule absorbed much more smoothly and comfortably into the skin. It really felt like the toner had "opened the hydration pathway" of my skin. Essentially, even if you use high-quality products, if they just sit on the surface of the skin without penetrating, they are useless. But after using the Fillagrin Barrier Toner, I noticed an improved experience with the subsequent skincare steps, and even in this heating season, my skin felt less tight and more comfortable compared to before, making me realize I may have been underestimating the importance of the toner step in my routine. In conclusion, the Fillagrin Barrier Toner seems to have truly delivered on its claims of "comfortable hydration" and being "the first step in skincare that opens the hydration pathway of the skin." I had thought an oil-containing toner might feel heavy or slippery, but the Fillagrin Barrier Toner had a smooth, non-greasy application, and after patting it in, I didn't feel any oiliness or heaviness. So in terms of the user experience and functionality, I'm very satisfied and would give it a passing grade!!
ConsWhile I'm satisfied with the user experience and functionality of the toner, the packaging is a bit disappointing. I used this toner by dispensing it onto my hands after cleansing, but if I accidentally poured out a bit too much, the product would start dripping down the sides of the bottle. In those moments, I would try to quickly wipe it up with the back of my hand and apply it there as well, so my hands ended up benefiting from the extra product! I think if the opening at the top of the bottle had a better designed dispenser, it would be an improvement. Also, while the product doesn't contain artificial fragrances, the natural fragrance (a citrusy, herbal scent) is quite strong. Since I normally use mostly fragrance-free cosmetics, it took me a bit of time to get used to the strong scent of the toner. For those who are very particular about ingredients and prefer minimal fragrance, the strength of the scent may be bothersome.
TipIf your skin type is not extremely dry, this toner alone may provide sufficient hydration. However, if you feel the hydration is still lacking, I would recommend using a hyaluronic acid toner as well. In my routine, I do the 3-toner method - first, a first essence, then the Fillagrin Barrier Toner, and finally a hyaluronic acid toner. Even in this recent cold and dry weather, my skin has not felt tight or uncomfortable!!! (When my skin gets dry, it can sometimes even feel itchy and painful.) Also, in the final step of my skincare routine when I apply a rich cream, I've been mixing in a small amount of the Fillagrin Barrier Toner, and I've found that it helps the cream spread more smoothly and reduces any heaviness or occlusive feeling from the rich cream.

I had high expectations for the Dr. G products as I had heard a lot of positive comments about how gentle and good they are. I liked that there was a space to write the open date on the product, so I could remember when I started using it. I have dry skin and lately my skin has been quite dehydrated, so I felt my skin became more moisturized after applying 7 layers of the product. As I have combination and sensitive skin, I was worried the ingredients might not agree with me, but I didn't experience any irritation or itchiness. The product contains oil, so I was concerned it might cause breakouts, but I didn't have any trouble with that either. The lightweight texture seems to be the strength of this product.
ConsThe product has a very runny consistency, so I had to wipe off some with a cotton pad and then apply it in multiple layers. While this wasn't a major issue, it's not exactly a plus either. I don't think one can expect dramatic results from this product. Of course, products that offer dramatic effects in a short time are also difficult to trust in the long run, so this could be seen as both a strength and a weakness of this product. Even after applying multiple layers, the product feels lightweight and airy, rather than plump and bouncy. This means you have to apply more product to get the desired effect, which is a bit of a downside. However, those with oily skin who prefer a lightweight skin feel will likely enjoy this product. I'll continue using it for a while longer and provide an update.
TipAs mentioned above, the lightweight texture makes this a good option for those with oily skin who prefer a light application.

So even those with oily skin can use it without any issues! I applied this toner and then foundation on top, and it was able to create a clean, fluffy skin look.ㅎㅎ
ConsSince it's a toner, the opening is quite large and the formula is runny, so you need to be careful not to spill it.
TipI recommend using it with a cotton pad!

As a sensitive, moisture-deficient oily skin type, I'm hesitant to use oily products, but this product has the moisture and oil blended in an appropriate ratio in two layers, so I can use it without burden. There's really no burden from the oil, but the moisture just seeps in and my skin feels it. I think it would be great for both dry and oily skin types!
ConsSince it's a toner, the flat surface makes it a bit inconvenient when trying to apply it with my hands, as the product tends to just flow out of the opening.
Tip- If you have extremely oily skin, the Philargrin Barrier Toner alone may be enough to provide sufficient moisture. And if you have dry skin, using it together with the Barrier Cream would be a good idea. - As I mentioned earlier, since it's composed of a moisture layer and an oil layer, you should shake it well before use to blend the moisture and oil to get that moisturized feeling.
