  1. Effectiveness I heard it has chemical exfoliation effects, so I tried using it without a separate peeling gel. At first, I was skeptical, but after about 2 weeks of use, I definitely felt my skin becoming smoother. While it didn't significantly reduce texture, it did make my skin feel smoother as the dead skin cells disappeared. As a result, my makeup applies better. 2. Quantity & Packaging The amount is generous for the price, and I like that the packaging is plastic.

  1. Irritation At first, I wasn't sure about its effectiveness, so instead of using it sparingly, I applied it morning and night daily. Suddenly, even other normally fine products started to cause a tingling sensation when applied. My skin became extremely dry no matter what I put on it. I think my skin barrier was compromised... However, this was likely due to my overuse. It should be fine if used only in the evening every 2-3 days.

  The only positive thing about this product is its affordable price.

  Cons

  I soaked a cotton pad and left it on my face for about 5 minutes, but it was incredibly tingling and irritating. Reading the reviews, I noticed everyone mentioned the stinging and itching, so I thought it was normal. However, it seems my skin didn't agree with it. When I removed the cotton pad, my skin was burning and red in various spots. I applied some soothing cream before going to bed, but the next day my skin had a severe reaction, especially my cheeks were very red. I immediately went to the dermatologist who diagnosed it as contact dermatitis. I had to take allergy medication and antibiotics, and it took about a week for my skin to recover. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, but the irritation was so intense that I think only those with extremely resilient skin could possibly use this. Anyone with even slightly sensitive skin should absolutely avoid it.

  If you have even slightly sensitive skin, do not use this product under any circumstances! Even for those without sensitive skin, it's best to avoid using it on days when your skin isn't in its best condition.

  Unfortunately, this product really doesn't agree with my skin at all. It's not just about causing blemishes - it's extremely irritating for me. After reading reviews mentioning its harshness, I decided to try it briefly while showering, ready to rinse it off immediately if needed. On my first attempt, I gently wiped my face with a cotton pad, but within seconds my skin turned bright red and felt incredibly hot. My pores opened up, and even after rinsing it off quickly, I had to use a modeling mask to calm my skin. Thinking I might have been too rough with the cotton pad, I tried again by just patting it on my face. While it was slightly less irritating, the burning sensation was still unavoidable. After two tries, I realized this product is too much for my skin to handle. The texture is slippery, and it smells strongly of vinegar - like you're applying vinegar to your face. When I first opened it, I questioned whether it was actually safe to use on skin. While this might be a holy grail product for some, it was unfortunately a complete fail for me.

  I got to try this product after winning a Hwahae survey. While a Hwahae review isn't mandatory, I'll share a few thoughts. I've struggled with back and chest blemishes, but surprisingly, after gently applying this post-shower, no new blemishes appeared. If you're planning to rock off-shoulder looks this summer, I recommend starting your skincare routine now! I've tried everything from Dr. Toni to Money, but honestly, this is the best. It's not too harsh for body use, so definitely give it a try!

  Please don't apply this to your face... It causes blemishes to appear. My skin texture seemed to worsen in just one day? This happened even though my sleep and diet remained the same... I wouldn't recommend it for facial use.

  When my skin suddenly broke out with blemishes, I was unsure what to use. That's when I decided to try this product. The value for money is great - 240ml is a generous amount that lasts a long time. I think one bottle can easily last over three months, even if you're a bit heavy-handed with application. The Sephora associate recommended using this alongside a product containing 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc. It's hydrating and feels good on the skin. While I can't speak to how long the hydration lasts since I layer other products immediately after, I can say that when used in conjunction with the niacinamide product, it does help calm down blemishes.

  Cons

  First off, it stings quite a bit on the face, probably due to the acids. Given that I'm using this for blemishes, it's particularly painful when it comes in contact with active breakouts. Initially, it seemed to help with blemishes, but later on, it became less effective and sometimes even made things worse. Because of this, I stopped using it regularly after a while. If it accidentally gets in your eyes, it's extremely painful - more so than other products due to its acidity.

  Tip

  If your goal is blemish care, make sure to use this with the niacinamide product mentioned earlier! It's worth noting that while some The Ordinary products work great together and enhance each other's effects, others can actually cancel each other out when used in combination. It's important to do your research before mixing products.
