I had been eyeing this product for a while, and when the limited edition lavender version came out, I knew I had to have it. I was thrilled with how beautiful it looked - such a win! I was really looking forward to the lavender scent, but when I opened it, I thought, 'Hmm... is this what lavender smells like?' Still, I was happy to finally own it and decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, it turned out to be better than I expected! I've always been self-conscious about my large pores, but this product really blurred them out nicely. It works hard to even out my skin tone, which I love. While it does an amazing job at blurring and improving my complexion, I have to say the way it breaks down throughout the day is quite unsightly. It emphasizes texture issues severely, making my skin look really dirty. Because of this, I've stopped using it for now. The ingredients list is also not great. On the bright side, it didn't cause any blemishes, as far as I could tell. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 10, 2019
Powdery Perfection A summer must-have! This little gem helps control shine in the T-zone and around the nose during hot months. It leaves your skin feeling completely matte and slightly brightens while keeping oiliness at bay. Fragrance It has a subtle, artificial lavender scent. I love that it doesn't have that headache-inducing cosmetic smell! Design It comes in a lovely purple color with 'Eclips' written on it. The shape is round and perfect for on-the-go. It's about the size of my palm. Cushion The cushion inside the compact is super elastic and velvety soft! The texture when you touch it is like feeling a thin, ultra-fine microfiber blanket. Coverage The coverage isn't particularly impressive. It seems more suited for absorbing excess oil and creating a matte finish on top of completed makeup, rather than providing coverage. Keep this in mind if you're looking for something with good coverage. Flaking Issues I tend to go for a dewy look in spring, fall, and winter, but prefer a matte finish in summer due to heat and sweat. If you have dry skin like me, I'd recommend using this only in summer. It can severely emphasize dead skin cells if used in fall or winter, so be aware! Pro Tip If you have dry skin, try applying a hydrating product before using Eclips for better results. (This tip is especially useful for those who don't use other face makeup like cushions or foundations) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 5, 2019
I've been dying to try Eglips products, and when this gorgeous purple shade came out, I just had to buy it! It turns out it's even better than I expected - it gives a beautiful blurred effect, has a lovely scent, and the case is so pretty I can't stop looking at it. I'm absolutely in love with it! However, it might not be the best choice for use during the summer months. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 24, 2019
When it settles, it looks pretty and the coverage isn't bad at all! It tended to settle into pores, and if you have dry or sensitive skin, it might cause blemishes - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJan 13, 2019
I have really large pores, but this covered them up so well that I was absolutely amazed. It also leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and fresh, like I've just stepped out of the bath. I absolutely love it! Well, I noticed it tends to settle into fine lines a bit without me realizing. Also, the puff feels a bit different, which might put some people off. - ko*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessJan 11, 2019
When first applied, it gives your skin a porcelain-like smoothness that looks absolutely beautiful. I went to the beach in summer, and under the scorching sun, my makeup melted into a flesh-colored mess. It was a truly awful sight. For days after, I tried different cosmetics to find the culprit. I realized my skin looked fine only on days I didn't use this powder compact. The excessive melting of the powder was so severe that I eventually switched to a different product. I've tried Eglips translucent powder before, and the colorless one worked well! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 29, 2018
Absorbs well! Definitely think Eglips offers great value for money! I absolutely recommend it. It broke once, but after fixing it, it sticks on perfectly! The only downside is that I've dropped it a few times, but nothing has broken or fallen apart! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 19, 2018
Leaves skin feeling soft and velvety The purple case is absolutely gorgeous Long-lasting wear Absorbs beautifully Fine, smooth texture Be careful with the amount! Applying too much can cause pilling There's some excess powder fallout I'm loving this product so much! This is shade #23! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 8, 2018
Hello there! I'm going out tomorrow for the first time in ages... It feels like my first outing during the break. I've been such a couch potato, haha! Anyway, today I'm finally doing a base review instead of a blush review for a change! So, let's dive into the review! ✔️Value for money : This is 007 Sky's biggest strength! It's a total bargain. Bbia is known for great value, but Eglips is giving them a run for their money. For just 5900 won, you get a case with a built-in mirror, a puff, and most importantly, quality! While I haven't tried a wide variety of powders, this is the best one I've used so far! (Compared to Innisfree No Sebum and Etude Fix and Fix Powder) ✔️Blurring effect : It's really there! The pore-covering effect is genuinely impressive. My pores have been looking a bit larger lately due to the summer heat, but after using this, my skin looks as smooth as silk! ✔️Gentle ingredients : This is truly the most important factor for me when choosing a base product. No matter how good a product is, it's useless if it doesn't suit your skin, right? Fortunately, this one has gentle ingredients and, most importantly, it works well with my skin without causing any irritation :) ✔️Color : I originally wanted to buy shade 13, but it was out of stock, so I got 21. Shade 21 is great too! My skin tone is around 17 or a light 21, and this gives me a slightly brighter look, about half a shade lighter. The color is a perfect ivory! It's not leaning towards pink or yellow, so I think anyone can use it without worry. ✔️Coverage : Don't expect too much in terms of coverage, as this isn't primarily designed for that purpose (Eglips also has a separate cover pact, by the way). While it's great at covering pores, it doesn't do much for blemishes. It can help even out light redness or subtle marks. One thing's for sure - it makes you look a million times better than bare skin! ✔️Oil control : Once it sets, it leaves your skin feeling super matte and velvety! Compared to other pacts I've tried, I'd rank them: Eglips > Innisfree >> Etude While the difference with Innisfree isn't huge, I found Eglips to be a bit more mattifying. ✔️Staying power : This is crucial! As someone who hates touch-ups, longevity is really important to me. It lasts about 4-5 hours before I notice a slight bit of oil coming through. Downsides...? Hmm...? Well, the staying power isn't exceptionally long. Also, I wonder if it's possible to buy replacement puffs separately...? Photos 2 and 3 are before, 4 and 5 are after. Note that photo 5 is taken 5 hours later. In photo 6, the top is before and the bottom is after. By the way, I'm using the Lavender Edition. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJun 26, 2018
Leaves skin feeling soft and matte Fragrance-free Applies in a thin layer Brightens complexion Helps conceal pores and fine lines Long-lasting Affordable The shade 21 leans a bit yellow, so not recommended for those who prefer pink-based foundations
