I bought this probiotic skincare product after hearing it was good for blemish-prone skin, but unfortunately I couldn't find any particularly noteworthy benefits. The product was rather unremarkable, so I don't have any strong feelings about it, either positive or negative. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 31, 2019
Cell Biotech's Duolac Lactoclear is where it all begins - skin health starts with probiotics! After taking Duolac, my skin improved so much that I decided to try Lactoclear too. First off, this company actually produces cancer treatments. There's a connection between gut inflammation and acne. Persistent acne can increase cancer risk as we age. While we can't see inside our stomachs, our faces tell the story. The same principle applies to redness. They create anti-inflammatory probiotic treatments, which led to developing cancer-fighting ingredients. So their skincare products are designed to combat skin inflammation. It feels trustworthy, and while the high-quality ingredients make it pricey, I see it as an investment in home skincare rather than spending money on frequent dermatologist visits and cheaper products. My skin isn't acne-prone, so the results weren't dramatic, but my complexion feels super hydrated now. On my recommendation, a friend with sensitive, acne-prone skin tried it. In just a week, she noticed significant improvements in itching and redness! It's expensive if you're used to budget-friendly options, but think of it as an investment in your skin care routine. Highly recommended, especially while it's on sale! - yu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 29, 2018
My skin, which was suspected to be seborrheic dermatitis, has now found proper balance. The adult acne that was concentrated on my cheeks, chin, and forehead has subsided, and the blemishes have significantly faded!! And this is during the height of summer. It's working so well that I went back to the website to repurchase, but ended up switching to the ampoule instead.. The smell is unpleasant. It's kind of like the smell of fermented feed. Since it's a probiotic essence, that might be why. It's good that it's fragrance-free, but still. Oh, and it dries quickly, so you have to apply it in a hurry. It's drying, so you need to layer a cream on top. Dropping two drops on each cheek and patting it in gently works well. Holding your breath for a moment is also a great tip! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 10, 2018
I had atopic dermatitis when I was young, but it improved as I became an adult. However, it's not easy to change my skincare products because the strong ointments have caused my pores to enlarge and made my skin more sensitive. I've been using heavy makeup products due to persistent dryness, and I've had cystic acne on my chin, forehead, and temples for a few years now. But since using this product, my skin troubles have gradually disappeared, and it seems to be helping with the dryness as well. Even though I'm usually reluctant to recommend products, this has become a go-to item that I introduce to my friends. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the slightly sour or musty smell. But it's not bad enough to be off-putting. It's less intense than the fermented essence from high-end brands. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 5, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

When I first dispensed it onto the back of my hand, it flowed down quickly like a toner. But as I used it, the bottom portion became more concentrated. You'll want to shake it before use. 🔶️Fragrance: There are no added fragrances, but the natural scent of the ingredients is present. As it's rated green on the EWG scale, the lack of synthetic fragrances is reassuring and preferable to me. 🔶️Application: The lightweight essence-like texture applies smoothly and leaves a hydrating, yet lightweight feel on the skin. 🔶️Absorption and usage: The absorption isn't super fast, but as it sinks in, my skin feels plumper and more elastic. When I press my palms against my cheeks, the essence clings on nicely. The dropper packaging makes it easy to control the amount used. 🔶️Moisturizing: The hyaluronic acid provides an immediate boost of hydration upon application. While it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and as if there's a protective layer, my extremely dry skin still needs more than just this essence, especially in the winter. I found that applying a cream on top of this essence helps lock in the moisture. 🔶️Breakouts and ingredients: The key ingredient is a patented antimicrobial called Lactopads, derived from probiotics. I was initially worried about trying a new ingredient, but it turned out to be gentle on my sensitive skin with no irritation. It's also free of harmful additives like synthetic fragrances, parabens, and mineral oils. 🔶️Recommendation: I'd recommend this to those with dry, dehydrated skin like mine. After using this essence for 2 weeks, my usually very dry skin improved to the point where I didn't need to do intensive sheet masking as often. Going a couple days without using this essence made the dryness return, so I believe it's been quite beneficial for my skin. 🔷️Soothing Effect: The essence contains centella extract and allantoin, which are said to have soothing and redness-reducing properties. However, I'm not entirely sure of the effectiveness yet and will need to use it for a longer period to evaluate this. 🔷️Volume: The 30ml size goes by fairly quickly, likely due to the thin, runny texture. I would recommend increasing the volume to around 50ml to make it last longer. 🔷️Not Recommended for: Those with oily skin or who dislike a slightly tacky feel may not enjoy this essence. As for me, I plan to use it year-round except in the summer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 4, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

First, my skin seems to get along well with ingredients containing lactobacillus, so I tried the Hwahae Sancheong. Just in case, I used only this product for a week. As I have sensitive skin and don't usually change my skincare products, there were no issues like breakouts or stinging. I like the texture, scent, and absorption of the product. It leaves my skin hydrated but not sticky. There aren't any dramatic effects, but my skin feels more plump and smooth. When I stop using it, I miss it. After a week of using it alone, as the weather got colder, I layered a cream on top and it made my skin even more hydrated~ It's a good essence to use lightly after toning. If your skin agrees with lactobacillus ingredients, I'd recommend it. Even though it doesn't contain any pearls, it gives an almost 'glow serum' level of radiance. The glow gets absorbed quickly, but it makes my skin look smoother~ 1. The texture is light and leaves a dewy glow when applied. 2. The scent is not unpleasant, but a bit tangy (I actually prefer the lack of artificial fragrance). 3. It absorbs without any stickiness. 4. It leaves my skin feeling plump and refined. The fact that it's unremarkable seems to be both its strength and weakness. It doesn't have any standout features. The product name is long, so it's not very memorable. There's a lot of text on the packaging, which can be distracting. The opaque packaging makes it hard to see how much is left. It can be used comfortably in the morning or evening. It's hydrating enough to use on its own, but in the winter, I like to finish with the Physiogel cream to really lock in the moisture. - zz******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDec 4, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

After applying it, I started getting small bumps and pimples a couple days later...ㅜ It was moisturizing and had good application, but it's a shame it didn't agree with my skin. - 00******Combination SkinDark CirclesRecommendedDec 4, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Even though it contains fermented ingredients, it did not irritate the skin. To be honest, it's just a bit too ordinary ㅠㅠ There aren't any amazing functions But it doesn't negatively affect the skin either Since it's winter, my skin gets really dry and my face often gets irritated, but when I use this and then apply a cream and do my makeup, I don't get much flaking and my makeup applies well!! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 3, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I love it so much.. I'm originally a sensitive skin type who carefully checks the ingredients even when buying just one sunscreen. So I also thoroughly checked the ingredients of this essence, and I didn't have any breakouts haha I used to use the Cha&Park propolis ampoule, and this is a case where I switched to this one ^^ When I first applied it on my cheeks, the essence had a watery, flowing feeling compared to the Cha&Park one, so I thought it might be too light. But the moment I spread it with my hands, I was like, 'Whoa..?' and it felt really good. This is an essence that gives a plump, bouncy feeling on the cheeks! At first, it feels nice and bouncy, but if the room is too dry, it seems to disappear after about 30 minutes. But if it's not an extremely dry situation, it's fine because it keeps the skin nicely plump. At first, it'll flow like water, so you might get surprised!! Be sure to pat it gently on your cheeks!! - qq********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 3, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I have a combination skin type that is closer to dry, with a lot of coverage and I used to suffer from acne that turned into cystic acne last year. Now, it has calmed down, and there are only traces left!! Right after the product arrived, I started applying one drop on my forehead and both cheeks after the toner step, and let it absorb well. The texture has a slight fermented yogurt-like scent and is viscous! During the absorption process, it leaves a slightly sticky(?) feeling, but it disappears completely when I apply the next cream step. I think this is a very versatile essence. The ingredients are minimized, and there are no harmful components, which is a bit enticing. If you don't have extremely oily or extremely dry skin, this essence can be a good option to use around the seasonal changes. I looked into the reviews that mentioned breakouts, but for my skin, which often gets small bumps and I use calming creams for, I didn't experience any issues with this causing breakouts. As mentioned earlier, the fact that it's just 'average' is the downside. If you're not someone who finds this essence to be the perfect match for your very sensitive skin, where no other essence works, the urge to repurchase might not be very strong. For dry skin, the moisturizing feel may be lacking, and for oily skin, the slightly sticky finish may be undesirable. It might be suitable around spring and fall when the skin is not too dry or too oily, but the price point is also on the higher side, so the thought of having to purchase this product might not be very appealing. Due to the slightly sticky finish, it's better to roll it in while absorbing rather than just patting it in. The stickiness disappears in the cream step. In a way, the satisfaction with this product may depend on what kind of toner and cream you use it with! However, instead of committing to this essence, consumers might be more inclined to find an essence that suits their existing toner and cream routine...😔
