The texture is runny but surprisingly viscous - when I lift the dropper, the essence stretches like mozzarella cheese! I accidentally spilled some on my vanity the first time I used it. This unique stretchy texture seems to be what helps it deeply hydrate the skin. It's also fragrance-free, which I love as I'm not a fan of scented products. If you're looking for fragrance-free skincare, I highly recommend this. Since it's a brand used in professional skincare clinics, it's likely to have a low risk of allergic reactions. It seems like a great product for general use!

I use this serum instead of emulsion, and I think it works best with a moisturizer that balances oil and moisture. Since this serum isn't oily, using it with a transparent moisturizer can make your face get oily quickly when you apply makeup. I wasn't sure what to use between toner and moisturizer, so I tried the 30ml size first, then bought the 100ml. I initially purchased it through my esthetician, but the official Descembre store was much cheaper. I'm giving it 4 stars since I repurchased it.

It doesn't actually reduce acne. They say hydration helps with closed comedones, but that wasn't the case for me. If you apply too much, it feels like it's sitting on your skin. The finish feels like applying glue to your face and letting it dry. You're supposed to pat it in for absorption, but as I have acne-prone, super sensitive skin, patting makes my closed comedones get moist and turn bright red. If I don't pat it in and just let it dry, it seems to absorb, but when I apply moisturizer or sunscreen on top, it's like the glue comes back to life. I started using this on recommendation from my esthetician, and when used with their moisturizer, my makeup would pill. Switching moisturizers solved that issue.

Great for hydration. I have super sensitive, acne-prone, oily skin with closed comedones, but this doesn't trigger blemishes or make my skin more sensitive. When I only use moisturizer after toner, my skin gets oily quickly. But using this serum before moisturizer seems to reduce the oiliness. It's a good substitute for emulsion after toner.
