There is a noticeable alcohol smell. However, it dissipates quickly and didn't bother me.

Although I have no body hair (and apparently no eyebrows either), if you look closely at the outer part of my calves, you can see a few fine, downy hairs. But one day, I got nervous about it for no reason and quickly shaved them off with a body hair trimmer. Since I then neglected to use a body scrub and moisturizer around that time, those few barely visible hairs became clogged in the dead skin, leading to ingrown hairs and keratosis pilaris. 
The fine hairs couldn't penetrate the dead skin and just grew inward instead. Dotted, dotted, dotted... Why did I shave them off? I shouldn't have done that.
Once the keratosis pilaris developed, neither the body scrub nor the lotion could fully resolve it. After a frantic online search, I found this product and applied it - it was resolved within a week. Miraculously, the hairs that had been curled up and visible as just dots popped right out! Going to a dermatologist is the answer, but if you're considering self-treatment, it might be worth trying this product.

This product is really effective for managing ingrown hair!
There was an area that was turning bright red, as if it was going to become inflamed, but after applying the product for a day or two, it calmed down right away and the ingrown hair came out.
If you use a moisturizing product like aloe or a hydrating gel along with it as directed, it's a really great product.

It has a slight alcohol smell and the roll-on is a bit sticky when first opened, but it applies more smoothly after using it for a few days.
The downside of the roll-on is that if the hair is long, it can get caught in the application area, so you have to apply it carefully.

I have a really curious question for those of you using it - if anyone knows, please leave a comment! From using it so diligently, my skin has started peeling off, or rather, my dead skin cells are just sloughing off when I take a bath. I'm using it on my armpits and down below, and the dead skin is just coming off like it's being exfoliated (even normally). I've tried both roll-on and skin type, and the roll-on is much easier to use.
When using the skin type cotton pad, I still had some ingrown hairs, but with the roll-on type, I don't get any at all.
I thought the amount would seem less, but it doesn't run out any faster than the skin type. I'm not sure when I'll finish it.
