It has a rich texture, but provides adequate moisture and works well. When used with a serum, it applies more easily!
ConsIt's quite thick, so it doesn't spread very well on its own. That aspect was a bit inconvenient.

However, this is a product that can give you that 'holy grail' feeling for a while. I say this because I think I'll continue using this product even as my skin gets drier with age. I started using this product after hearing good things about it from those around me. In my research, I found that this was one of the least oily products, so I gave it a try. Now, I've stopped making my own creams and am on my second bottle of this product. I haven't been able to review it for a while since I stopped using other commercial products. Looking at the ingredients, there's hardly any oil. The main active ingredients that directly affect the skin are glycerin, panthenol, and caprylic... just those three. Caprylic... that's an oil, but it's listed after panthenol, so the oil content is probably no more than 5%. This product contains 5% panthenol. The rest are just additives like texture, emulsifiers, and preservatives. But as they say, panthenol is very hydrating, and this product does feel very moisturizing and cooling. However, with minimal oil, this may not be enough for more mature skin. I don't use this alone either. There are two types of moisturizers - occlusive and humectant. Occlusive is mostly oil-based. In other words, there's hardly any occlusive moisturizing here. Personally, I apply this and then mix in some jojoba oil, vitamin E, and squalane as a face oil. It's also great under sunscreen, as it's non-oily and very hydrating. Among the sunscreens I like, the ones that are too oily or drying work well with this. In theory, this should work for both oily and mature skin types. But individual skin may react differently.
ConsIt's quite thick. I've seen reviews saying this can be problematic. The thickness makes it hard to spread evenly on the face. I don't really like that feeling of the product sliding around. Probably has to do with the xanthan gum in the formulation.

It's cheaper than the price of German Ectoin 7% 30/50ml and 3.5% 30ml. The characteristic Ectoin smell is not present. The moisturizing effect is good.
ConsAvoid extreme sensitivity. Dosage adjustment is essential... I don't like the thick feeling. It feels a bit heavier than the German Ectoin I used. Glossy. I bought a pack of 3, but now I've used up the whole first bottle. It's almost impossible to see any improvement in a month, but you'd have to use about 3 bottles consistently to really know. With just the first bottle, I don't have much intention to repurchase.
TipIt's good for use on dry or pigmented body areas (in small amounts and by area) The volume is very small for applying all over the body. If your skin is very dry, you should do some oil or exfoliation before using it. No matter how good a product is, if your skin is like hard ground, it's just like running in place.
