It's great for covering those pesky gray hairs that pop up when you're too busy to dye your hair. The coverage is pretty decent. While it does require a bit of technique, the cushion format makes it easy to cover larger areas. I use it when I'm in a pinch and need a quick fix. After application, the hair's natural shine gets masked by the cover color, making it look a bit dry and lifeless. It also tends to rub off on your hands when you touch it. I'd avoid using it on humid or rainy days. - yu******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 19, 2025
I chose this type because the grays are coming up from the roots, so it covers a wider area. The color seems more natural in dark brown rather than black. The coverage is around 90%. It's not perfect, but it covers reasonably well. The formula is a cushion type, so there's little powder fallout and it adheres well to the hair. The biggest downside is that it gets on your hands. Haha. If you absentmindedly brush your hair back or touch your face or other areas, it's a problem. Haha. Be careful, be very careful. - ki**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDec 15, 2022
The color looks natural, perfect for regular or light brown dyed hair. It absorbs well without clumping. Plus, you get a generous amount of product. It seems to lack staying power and tends to transfer a bit. I probably won't repurchase. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 18, 2022
I recently bought this to cover up some hair loss I've been experiencing! I'm quite satisfied with it as it doesn't leave too much residue on my hands when applying. Since I only purchased it for coverage, I haven't noticed any significant drawbacks yet. - de*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresOct 6, 2021
Given the limited variety of hair cushions available, I decided to try the LaLa Chu product, which seems to be more professionally positioned. However, compared to Mamonde and other products I've used before, I didn't notice any significant advantages. If I had to point out a subtle difference, it would be that there's slightly "less" powder fallout, but this product isn't perfect in that aspect either. You'll still see some powder falling unevenly on your forehead, so you need to use a tissue to protect your face while applying. The packaging feels very sturdy and robust. They definitely didn't skimp on the container quality. Oh, and the color is pretty good. It seems to clump a bit less, but overall, there's no major difference from other products. It feels like a very slightly upgraded version of what's already out there. If the powder fallout was completely eliminated and the application and adherence were improved by just half a step from its current state, the gap between this and other products would be clearly noticeable. I might continue using this product, but that's the part that leaves me wanting more. The claims made on the product page about perfect powder control and gray hair coverage don't quite match up with reality. Personally, I feel these aspects might be a bit overstated. To reiterate, there's no huge difference from other products - it's just a very slight upgrade. Consequently, the price point doesn't feel entirely justified. When applying the cushion, instead of bringing your palm down towards your face, lift it upwards. At the hairline, don't pat the puff on your fingers, but gently press it as if you're applying pressure. This technique helps to avoid messy edges and powder fallout. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMay 13, 2021
Pros: Pigmentation: The color payoff is excellent. It's slightly intense, but with proper application, it really gives the appearance of fuller hair. Application: The built-in cushion makes it incredibly user-friendly. With gentle patting, you can touch up your hairline in just two minutes. Longevity: It has good staying power. While it does fade a bit after about half a day, it's not very noticeable. Cons: Transfer: There is some minor transfer, but it's not a significant issue unless you're wearing a hat or frequently touching your hair. Highly recommended for those looking to easily fill in their hairline! However, if you're dealing with hair loss or want a more precise hairline definition, you might find it less suitable. - aa***Dry SkinRecommendedApr 9, 2021
Effectively conceals thinning hair. It's quite easy to use. The staying power is pretty good. You need to use it daily, but it's not exactly cheap. Also, sometimes you get a product that sheds an excessive amount of powder. Seems to be random... - py******Combination SkinJan 23, 2021
I bought this set for my mother who was concerned about her graying hair on both sides. Seeing how satisfied she was, I decided to try it on the sparse areas of my bangs. The color match is spot-on, and best of all, it can make your face look smaller! I loved how it neatly defined my hairline. Plus, it's easy to cleanse off and convenient to use. Now I understand why they made it as a compact. The staying power isn't great, so you'll need to carry it around for touch-ups. You'll have to be extra careful on sweaty days. It can get patchy and start to lift. Be very cautious if you're wearing a hat - taking it on and off can be disastrous. Use only a tiny amount and blend well. Otherwise, it looks unnatural and very noticeable. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 24, 2020
My dad has some hair loss, so he bought a large size after seeing it on home shopping. He gave me a small portable version to try. The natural brown color works well for people like me with very dark, almost black hair. I didn't sweat or anything after using this, but the staying power isn't great... It comes off easily when touched. I guess that's unavoidable. Contrary to the home shopping claims, I really don't recommend this for people with significant hair loss like my dad. The patchy appearance isn't pleasant to look at. - ch******Dry SkinRecommendedOct 15, 2020
It covers well. The color is quite nice too. It's easy to apply with quick strokes. Even after washing my hair, it doesn't seem to come off easily, probably because it's a waterproof product. After shampooing twice and wiping with clean wet wipes, it still comes off bit by bit, which is a bit scary. I'm worried about going overboard trying to remove it completely. It would be great if it came off more easily.
