The color also matched me well, and it gave me the exact skin expression that I love. ใ ใ And it left my skin feeling clean and refreshed - I really enjoyed that feeling ใ ใ
ConsAs a student, the price is a bit of a concern for me, but I understand it's a department store brand, so it's understandable. Other than that, I have no complaints!

But the 774 shade works perfectly for me, and I've been using it for years. If you're also having trouble finding the right shade, I'd recommend giving this a try. The coverage is near-maximum, and it's matte without being oily or cakey. It applies smoothly and creamy, but then dries down to a beautiful, natural-looking matte finish. It sets quickly but still adheres well to the skin, so the wear time is excellent. It's perfect for a quick morning routine or touch-ups throughout the day - I barely need to reapply! And since it really grabs onto the skin, it's great for oily/combination types like me who want that shine-free look. A little goes a long way, so the product lasts a long time. (Use sparingly with your fingers, or the included puff for a bit more coverage and seamless application.) The puff that comes with it really helps boost the coverage and smooth everything out. I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't like a shiny, dewy look!
ConsThe dryness can be extreme, so I wouldn't recommend using it on its own. For dry skin types like mine, using it solo can actually make your skin type change to the point of getting oily, so you really need to make sure to layer it over a hydrating product. Also, it sets very quickly, so you have to work fast and can't get distracted doing other things while applying, or else it becomes difficult to blend and the application suffers. And the glass jar and included puff are a bit bulky and inconvenient to carry around. I just deal with it, but if you want something more compact and easy to touch up, you may want to decant it into a smaller container.
TipIt's best to make sure your skin is well-hydrated before using this foundation. Apply a moisturizing product and let it fully absorb first. The reason for this is that while it applies smoothly and creamily, the product is inherently quite matte. If you don't prep with hydration first, the foundation can end up looking dull and flat as it absorbs into the skin. For dry types like me, I actually recommend mixing the foundation with a lotion or cream, like a 2:1 or 1:1 ratio. This helps keep things more glowy and comfortable on the skin. Just note that the mixing can affect the shade slightly, so a 2:1 ratio is better if you don't want any noticeable color change. And thicker, creamier moisturizers tend to blend in better than thin, watery ones. But the mixing trick really does make the wear time last much longer too!

When pumping it out, I was initially disappointed by the yellow color, but once I applied it to my skin, it blended in perfectly! Mixing it with a concealer also improved the staying power, and even on these hot days when I sweat profusely, it doesn't break down, which I'm quite pleased with. Personally, in terms of longevity, it's the second best after the Tange Miracle. The coverage is medium to full. However, I'll probably only repurchase it during duty-free sales.
ConsThe fragrance was a bit disappointing. The subtle floral scent may be polarizing.

The application is also incredibly smooth. It adheres well to the skin and does not emphasize any dry patches.
ConsThe coverage is not great for me... And over time, it gets oily. As a result, the longevity is not great either. I had tried it because a Shu Uemura employee recommended it, but I ended up switching back to the pore-filling foundation I was using before.

Patting with a puff makes the adherence even better.
ConsIt may not be suitable for those with large pores. There is a slight issue with pore clogging.

Layering can increase the coverage somewhat, but the longer you layer, the less lasting power it has. The coverage was much better with the old Shu Uemura Architect (existing pore foundation). The adhesion is 4/5. The adhesion is better when applied with a brush than with the included puff. The spreadability is 4/5. The lasting power is 3/5. Even after setting the foundation, it's not particularly good, despite not having an excessively oily face.
ConsThere were no trouble issues. However, it was disappointing in terms of coverage and lasting power compared to the existing pore foundation.
TipThis foundation seems to shine the most when applied thinly. However, without layering, the coverage is lacking, so it can only be worn on days when the skin is in good condition.

The puff that comes with it seems really good. It's different from the Daiso puff. It has good adhesion and coverage, but it has a slightly yellowish feel. Shu Uemura's foundation seems to come out quite yellowish, so for those with fair skin, the color may be a bit overwhelming. You have to apply it smoothly, and since it's on the matte side, you have to apply it well.
ConsI had a headache for a while, but these days there are a lot of good cushions, so I don't have any plans to repurchase it for now. I think I tried it because the puff was new. The price is also quite evil compared to the product.

Especially when using the included sponge by patting it on, it adheres well and can be used for a long time. As I rarely wear makeup while caring for my child, this one product makes me look like a bright and radiant mom.
ConsIt's unfortunate that it doesn't have sun protection, so I always have to apply sunscreen as a base. As a busy mom, I need something that can be quickly applied in one step. It seems more suitable for the fall and winter seasons when my skin is more hydrated.
TipIf I apply the base lightly in the morning, there is less slipping or fading throughout the day. Sometimes, I skip the essence and apply a generous amount of moisturizer, let it absorb, and then apply the foundation. Doing the skincare routine before getting dressed and the foundation after getting dressed seems to be the perfect timing.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThe coverage is medium. The adhesion is also quite good. As long as you take good care of your dead skin, it has a viscous (?) consistency that flows when squeezed, and it tends to transfer a lot if you don't use powder. For me, the longevity was also quite good.
ConsUgh... First day of use: After about 10 hours, I had to cleanse > Day 2: No makeup > Day 3: No makeup. After first use, the day after, my entire face started to itch around the afternoon, and it became red, bumpy, and small pimples started to appear... I already had redness, but it got worse, and it was so itchy. If I had known the ingredients were this bad, I wouldn't have used it. My skin wasn't that bad, but I regret it so much. My mom even said my face looked dirty. I got it as a sample, but if I had bought it with my own money, ugh... Not even worth one star.
TipPlease check the ingredients and test it before buying. You don't want to regret it.

The puff is nice.
ConsThe coverage is poor, so I have to use a lot of product. The price is expensive.
