As someone with slightly sensitive and seborrheic scalp, I tried this for dead skin cell care, and it's great! The lather is better than expected, and there's a nice cooling effect that feels refreshing. There's nothing particularly disappointing, but the dispenser opening releases too little product at a time, so I end up opening the entire cap to use it. You need to add plenty of water intermittently for the best lather. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 17, 2021
I've tried several shampoos with only naturally-derived ingredients and no added surfactants, but their effects were minimal. (To be honest, I've thrown away some that had absolutely no effect before even finishing them.) This product, however, has surprisingly reduced the dead skin cells and dandruff on my scalp. It's true! I bought it without expecting much, but the results were so good that I came to check on Hwahae if it contained any harmful ingredients. Now here I am, writing a review. (I never leave reviews on the sites where I buy products.) Results may vary from person to person, but for me, I need to use it every single night before bed to see any effects. That's quite a commitment! - ap*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 19, 2020
Texture: It has a thick, creamy texture with a gritty, salt-like feel. I have thick hair and usually struggle with shampooing, but this product spreads easily and widely. I could massage and shampoo comfortably. It lathers up wonderfully with just a bit more water! Feeling after shampooing: I have a dry scalp, and this product thoroughly removed all the oil, leaving my hair feeling quite dry. However, it returns to normal after using conditioner. Feeling after drying: My scalp feels more voluminous, and there's a refreshing, light sensation as if dead skin cells have been removed. It feels amazing! The product comes in a 200ml bottle and costs 14,900 won. As someone with a dry scalp prone to dandruff, I think this scalp treatment works well for me. The tip where the product comes out is pointed, seemingly designed for direct application to the scalp. However, when your hair is wet, it's actually quite difficult to get the tip into your scalp. I ended up just squeezing some onto my hand and massaging it into my scalp. It might be better if they made the opening wider like regular shampoo bottles! While my hair felt a bit stiff immediately after shampooing, it's not a significant issue if you use it along with conditioner. Start by massaging it into your scalp, and when it starts to feel a bit dry or you need more product, just add a little water! This will create a soft lather, allowing for an even smoother shampooing experience. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 16, 2020
It feels refreshing on the scalp. When rinsing, it washes out completely without leaving any residue. I'm not sure if it's typical of scaling products, but it seems to make my hair a bit stiff. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJun 12, 2020
Despite its gentle ingredients, I was pleased that it didn't feel like it was getting sticky too quickly. As someone with psoriasis on my scalp (lots of dead skin cells), I felt like this product really helped remove a significant amount of flakes after using it. It leaves the hair feeling a bit stiff, and unfortunately doesn't completely eliminate odor from the scalp. - kh******Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2020
This product is absolutely amazing! As someone with a dry, sensitive scalp and dry hair, I used to get dandruff if I didn't massage my scalp thoroughly while shampooing. But since getting pregnant, I've been bothered by persistent scalp odor. I decided to try this product, and it became my holy grail item after just one use. I'm now in my second week of using it. 1. The scent is delightfully fresh and fragrant, but light and not overpowering. I have a sensitive nose, especially during pregnancy, but I found the scent pleasant. If anything, I wish the scent lingered longer after rinsing. 2. It lathers incredibly well, just like a high-quality functional shampoo. 3. It leaves my scalp feeling wonderfully cool and refreshed. 4. The best part for me is that it completely eliminates scalp odor. Before, I'd start noticing odor by the afternoon after washing my hair the night before. But after using this product just once, there was no odor the next day. It's truly amazing! 5. Despite using it daily (even though it's recommended 2-3 times a week), it doesn't irritate my scalp or cause itchiness. I feel confident using it every day. 6. I no longer see any flakes or dry skin on my scalp. This, along with the odor control, is its best feature. The narrow opening of the bottle means the product comes out in thin streams, so you need to squeeze multiple times to get enough product. It can be a bit tedious. However, I understand this design is likely intentional for a scalp scaling product, allowing for precise application close to the scalp. Other than that, I have no complaints! While you're squeezing out the product in multiple applications, your hair might start to dry a bit. This can make it feel a little stiff when you're applying the product. To combat this, I recommend sprinkling a bit of water on your crown area after you've applied the product to your scalp. This helps create a richer lather and makes it easier to work through your hair. - wr****Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 6, 2019
It has exfoliating particles that give a refreshing sensation, and it lathers up nicely. After use, I feel like I've had a deep cleanse, which is very satisfying. I thought this was a product you could squeeze directly onto your scalp without removing the cap. Turns out, you have to take off the seemingly pointless cap and use it like regular shampoo by putting some in your palm first. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedMar 15, 2019
True to its sea salt name, it has a gritty texture like salt, but I love that it's not irritating when you massage it in The scent is a bit strong, or should I say unique - it has quite a distinctive smell - ru*******Combination SkinRecommendedFeb 24, 2019
I was worried the sea salt scrub might irritate my scalp, but it actually dissolves into a gentle lather when massaged in. After leaving it on for 1-2 minutes, you get a nice cooling effect on the scalp. I used it because I tend to get oily buildup, and while the results weren't dramatic, it's good for use every other day if you have an oily scalp. The fragrance is quite artificial and not particularly pleasant. I experienced some slight itching after use, so I'll need to try it a few more times to be sure. I found it works well to comb through with a silicone scalp brush after applying.
