Price point: It's great to be able to try two products, even in smaller sizes. The price seems reasonable for what you get. After all, it takes a while to use up full-sized products anyway. I hope NARS continues to offer more packages like this in the future. Dolce Vita blush color: NARS blushes can easily turn you into a 'burning sweet potato' if you're not careful with application. The color is beautiful for fall and winter - it's on the warmer side, so it might look a bit heavy for spring and summer. However, the color is uniquely pretty. It's a muted rose shade with flecks of gold shimmer. Capri highlighter: When I first bought it, I didn't use it much because I wasn't sure how to apply highlighter. Now, years later, it's become a daily staple. It's a versatile, medium-toned champagne color that's neither too warm nor too cool. When applied to the face, it gives a nice, subtle sparkle. I've swatched the highlighter on my hand to show how it catches the light on the bone structure. See how it gives a dewy, shimmering effect? It's disappointing that NARS product packaging tends to crack at the seams even with a small drop. My Orgasm, Gaiety, and Dolce Vita compacts are all a bit loose now due to cracks. Capri is still intact, but I wish they would make the packaging more durable to withstand accidental drops. Spring is coming and summer will be here before we know it. This highlighter would look beautiful applied to collarbones or shoulders when wearing a flowy blouse. Just be careful not to apply too much, as it can emphasize pores. It's best to build up the glow gradually with multiple light layers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedFeb 5, 2019
Great value to try both products without the commitment of full-size purchases. Highly recommend NARS Capri for those with a light complexion (shade 21). It's a finely milled, bright highlighter that gives a natural glow. Dolce Vita has an intense color, so apply lightly to avoid the 'burning sweet potato' look - it needs a good brush. Using the NARS Yachiyo brush creates a subtle, stained effect with just the right amount of shimmer. It's a unique, mood-setting shade. Both products require a lot of brush work. They may look small, but each seems to contain over 2.4g (which could be seen as a plus for quicker use). NARS Capri works wonders when applied with a MAC or Piccasso 239 brush on the brow bone, between brows, nose tip, and cupid's bow. For Dolce Vita, gently pat it on with the NARS Yachiyo brush for a gorgeous watercolor effect and shimmer.
