I think this color really suits cool undertones. When I first borrowed it from a friend, I immediately thought 'This matches my complexion perfectly!' - which is rare for me with lip products. The color that comes out isn't as intense or vibrant as it appears in the container, which I actually prefer. As someone whose lips tend to chap year-round, I noticed that applying this alone made my dead skin cells quite visible. For those with dry lips, I recommend thoroughly moisturizing before use and pairing it with a lip primer like the ones MAC sells. Also, if you're new to makeup or don't wear it often but know you have a cool undertone, I suggest applying this to the inner part of your lips and blending outwards for a gradient effect, rather than covering your entire lip. - so**********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 23, 2021
- The color is so pretty!! Although it's a gift and doesn't exactly match my skin tone, it's still gorgeous... If I had to guess, it's a shade that would suit cool-toned winter complexions? It has a strong pink undertone!! Definitely on the cool side, haha. - It's moisturizing and has great staining power!! I bought a tint from the same line a while back, and I wonder if it's just my imagination or if this one stains much better..? - Being MAC, the packaging is beautiful, of course! I want to display it on my vanity, it's that pretty. It's really perfect as a gift! - Honestly, I probably wouldn't spend this much money on a tint myself. I have three MAC lip products, and they're all gifts, haha... While it's great to receive as a gift, I wouldn't want to buy it with my own money. You know what I mean, right? - The staining power looked good when swatched on my wrist, but on my lips, it was just okay... Maybe it's because I talk a lot, but my lips started to peel like they had dead skin cells? That happened a bit... Still, compared to the previous line, it's definitely improved in terms of longevity and staining power!! - do*********Dry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 24, 2020
It has a subtle shimmer that makes your lips look even more beautifully radiant. I love it so much that I've shown it off to my friends multiple times! It seems a bit pricey for a lipstick at 30,000 won. But it's so pretty that I end up buying it anyway! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2020
It's a moisturizing tint with sparkling pearls! It gives such a delicate and pure look. It's so beautiful, I'm in awe! There's a bit of separation in the product. Also, it doesn't give a glass-like shine, but more of a hydrated glow, so it might not look as glossy as expected. Don't just apply it to the inner part of your lips. Make sure to blend it outwards for a prettier look. Applying only to the inner part can make your lips appear too small. Be sure to remember this tip! - li*********Combination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 25, 2020
It doesn't emphasize dead skin cells much, and you only need to apply a small amount for sufficient coverage. I'm not particularly fond of this product's unique scent, so I've only used it a few times and don't reach for it often. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 27, 2020
✔ Ingredients Unlike cheap tints that cause dead skin cells to form on the lips and create irritating bumps, this product doesn't do that at all. ✔ Staining power It has great staining power, so it stays on even after eating. Perfect for use at work where it's hard to touch up makeup frequently due to a busy schedule. ✔ Removal effectiveness Compared to some cheap tints that are difficult to remove even with makeup remover, this product has great longevity and staining power but comes off easily with remover. ✔ Price It's not exactly budget-friendly... ✔ Glossy finish As a glossy product, it might feel a bit heavy on the lips. It's quite shimmery. If you're not a fan of the shimmer, just blot it a bit and it'll quickly settle into a nice subtle finish. - in*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 24, 2020
I'm a 21 shade with a summer cool tone. This color works well for almost all cool tones, as long as it's not too deep, and even some spring colors can be used. It's a pink shade that suits a range of cool undertones, from deep to light summer cool. Even though it's a warm pink, it didn't look out of place on my cool summer skin. I highly recommend it for cool summer tones too! Why? Because the color is just so beautiful! It's moisturizing with a gorgeous dewy finish, perfect for those who love hydrating lip products. It gives a delicate yet radiant vibe, making it ideal for daily use. It looks pretty worn alone and also works well as a base. For a moisturizing formula, it has decent staining power, so the longevity is quite good. There's minimal stickiness, and it's so hydrating that it's comfortable to wear even during dry autumn and winter months. With MAC Tints, it can be tricky to control the amount of product from the container, so I recommend wiping off some excess before applying. Also, the scent... it has that distinctive MAC fragrance, sort of like chocolate? It's not a deal-breaker, but I'm not a fan. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 26, 2020
The staining effect seems better than a lipstick. Compared to what I usually use, the amount seems quite generous. My skin tone falls somewhere between cool and deep undertone, but this isn't a perfect match. Reading reviews, it seems moisturizing, but the hydration (and stickiness) doesn't last long, and it quickly dries out and cracks. You need to carry a lip balm with you. Also, while it's okay to apply when my lips are in decent condition, some days it stings when I put it on. I tend to avoid using it when I have or might get cold sores, or when I've had a restless night and I'm not feeling my best. Get a good night's sleep and always keep a lip balm handy. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2019
My lips get super dry, so I usually can't use lipsticks that highlight dead skin cells. But Versicolor Varnish is amazing! Even with a lot of flaky skin, it doesn't accentuate it at all. I'm loving it! The color is close to a deep pink with a hint of red. I thought it would suit cool-toned people better, but even with my warm undertones, it works great for me! Due to the product's nature, it has a bit of a sparkle when applied. For someone like me with quite a few lip wrinkles, this was a bit bothersome. If you blot the color completely, it seems to intensify the red undertones. But generally, it's a deep pink shade.
