The application is like using a crayon, and the scent reminds me of vintage cosmetics. It transfers a lot when applied. It even gets on your teeth, that's how bad it is! I think I saw this on a home shopping channel, so I decided to give it a try. Since I don't usually wear heavy makeup, I appreciated the subtle color. It's moisturizing and applies smoothly. I've been a lip balm addict, but I might be saying goodbye to that habit now. The application is really smooth without being matte. Although it's a vibrant red shade, when applied it gives a subtle red effect that's not overwhelming. I highly recommend it as a daily lipstick! For those who prefer a more intense color, you might find yourself needing to apply multiple layers, which could be a bit disappointing.
