  1. Even a small amount provides a noticeable brightening effect. I've mixed it with darker foundations to adjust my complexion. It also offers slight coverage, making it perfect for quick outings when you want something light. 2. It works well when mixed in the right ratio with drier foundations! However, if you don't get the ratio right, the downsides I'll mention later become more apparent.

  1. Emphasizes dead skin cells: I typically think of brightening moisturizers as quick and easy products for when you don't want to do a full face of makeup but aren't quite ready to go bare-faced. However, this product is difficult to apply evenly with just your fingers - it streaks and clumps. You need to use a puff, which makes me wonder why bother with a brightening moisturizer at all. Also, despite being moisturizing and rich, it still manages to highlight dead skin cells. Why? It settles into pores and flaky areas, leaving white patches. 2. Finish: Rather than feeling hydrated, it leaves a greasy, overly shiny finish. It genuinely feels like you've applied cooking oil to your face.

  As someone with combination dehydrated skin, it's hard to find advantages... The improved packaging from jar to tube is a plus. My mom with dry skin loves it, so I'm giving it 4 stars! However, I wouldn't recommend it for skin types other than dry.

  Not recommended for combination dehydrated skin due to its high oil content. It clogs pores significantly and doesn't last long on the skin. For dry skin types, it's said to give a glow and prevent dryness even after extended wear.

  It can brighten your complexion to some extent. The amount you get is generous. I really loved the fragrance!

  Cons

  This is for combination dehydrated skin with an oily base. I don't have super sensitive skin at all, but when I apply only this, it feels heavy and leads to blemishes. It makes my skin extremely oily, almost like my makeup is separating. There's a noticeable white cast, which is quite severe. It visibly settles into the pores around my nose and other areas, so unfortunately, this product ended up being relegated to the back of my drawer.
