1. Even a small amount provides a noticeable brightening effect. I've mixed it with darker foundations to adjust my complexion. It also offers slight coverage, making it perfect for quick outings when you want something light. 2. It works well when mixed in the right ratio with drier foundations! However, if you don't get the ratio right, the downsides I'll mention later become more apparent. 1. Emphasizes dead skin cells: I typically think of brightening moisturizers as quick and easy products for when you don't want to do a full face of makeup but aren't quite ready to go bare-faced. However, this product is difficult to apply evenly with just your fingers - it streaks and clumps. You need to use a puff, which makes me wonder why bother with a brightening moisturizer at all. Also, despite being moisturizing and rich, it still manages to highlight dead skin cells. Why? It settles into pores and flaky areas, leaving white patches. 2. Finish: Rather than feeling hydrated, it leaves a greasy, overly shiny finish. It genuinely feels like you've applied cooking oil to your face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 27, 2024
It applies like an emulsion but feels much lighter and less suffocating while still being moisturizing. It gives a natural look as if your complexion is naturally bright, and the formula leaves a smooth finish (somewhere between dewy and semi-matte). If you fail to control the amount, it can make your skin tone look off. Also, if your skin is oily, the product tends to disappear, leaving something to be desired in terms of longevity. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 22, 2024
The formula has a nice hydrating feel, and the cherry blossom scent gives off a lovely spring vibe! Personally, I love the clean, minimalist design. It feels as light as an emulsion you'd apply after cleansing, and when you put it on, it gives your skin a dewy glow from all the moisture. The coverage and color payoff are a bit disappointing. Rather than saying it makes you look pale, it's more accurate to say it brightens your complexion. Light formula with a subtle tint! This seems perfect for students just starting to experiment with makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 9, 2023
I used to wear cushion foundation, but since wearing masks, I've switched to just using brightening moisturizer. It's great because it applies lightly and I don't need to wear makeup anymore. I love it! My skin produces excess oil, so I always carry oil blotting sheets to dab my face. Unfortunately, it's inevitable that the product fades over time. The packaging has been redesigned, which feels a bit unfamiliar. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 5, 2023
It absorbs lightly and provides a natural brightening effect, which is excellent. There weren't any downsides. Just make sure to cleanse well before bed for best results. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 29, 2023
It applies smoothly and brightens the complexion. It feels lightweight, and I love that it doubles as a sunscreen. You need to apply powder over this brightening moisturizer. It tends to wear off a bit easily. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 28, 2022
It moisturizes and brightens my skin tone beautifully! I use it on my neck when there's a color difference between my face and neck after applying makeup. I also recommend it for those times when you want a light base - just apply this alone. It disappears and fades away quickly. I originally bought it to use as a brightening moisturizer before applying cushion foundation, but it didn't work well for that purpose. I have dry skin, and even when I apply this cream very thinly before the cushion, it immediately makes the makeup look patchy. After a short while, the makeup separates, emphasizing dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 23, 2022
It's perfect for when you want a light, radiant look without feeling heavy on the skin I wish it had some sun protection - that would have made it even better! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 19, 2022
The lightweight and moisturizing texture makes it absorb well. It feels like a hybrid between an emulsion and a cream. Rather than dramatic brightening effects, it offers a subtle and natural complexion enhancement. I wouldn't recommend using this with oily skin or other rich products. It works best with just a toner and a light emulsion. Since it doesn't produce much excess oil, it pairs perfectly with drier foundations. Even with a mask on, your makeup stays put and you can achieve a natural-looking brightened complexion! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 11, 2022
I love how it lightly evens skin tone and works great as a lightweight base As someone with slightly dry skin, I noticed it started to feel a bit tight on my skin after a while Make sure to apply it over a solid skincare routine!
