I was curious about this perfume since opinions were so divided, so I bought a sample first. It turned out to be really nice! People said it was extremely sweet, but I didn't find the sweetness overpowering. It's sweeter than your average perfume, but not excessively so. What I love is that it's not just sweet - there's a bitter fig note that balances the sweetness perfectly. I'm very satisfied and plan to purchase the full-size bottle. I have no complaints about the fragrance itself! The only downside is the rather hefty price tag. - lo****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessDead Skin CellsJun 1, 2024
I loved the sweet fruity scent - it's quite unique and not something you come across often. The fragrance is a bit too sweet and intense for me, sometimes giving me a headache, so I don't use it very frequently. - ow*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 30, 2023
I detected a peach juice scent combined with a hint of bitterness reminiscent of citrus fruit peels. The peel aroma also reminded me of crushed bitter herbs. While I enjoy sweet citrus scents, I'm not a fan of bitter citrus with added peel notes, which left me slightly disappointed. However, if you love fresh, zesty fragrances, you'll likely appreciate this scent. - hy*******Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 31, 2023
At first, it feels a bit too vibrant, but after about an hour, it transforms into a sweet fruity scent. It's not the sweetness of a fashion perfume, but rather like the subtle aroma of fruit kept in a warm place, gently wafting up from somewhere. The lingering scent is truly captivating, making this a perfume with real character. The price is a bit steep, and it's disappointing that there's no travel size available for those who want to carry it around. - gu****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDead Skin CellsDec 15, 2021
Famous for its ultimate fruity sweetness! At the top notes, you can sense a pungent fruitiness with woody undertones. It even reminds me of plums. As it dries down, the sweetness intensifies. The price? And it's not as appealing as its cost might suggest. If you're not a fan of sweet scents, I wouldn't recommend it. I highly recommend trying a sample first. Definitely not a blind buy! I noticed that when you purchase the full-size at Sephora, they include a sample with it. - ch*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2020
As expected from a Byredo fragrance, the longevity and sillage are absolutely fantastic. It feels like you're carrying an armful of fig bread. It's a perfume that exudes a distinctly urban vibe. However, the more I used this scent, the more it reminded me of a strong cosmetic smell. This is just my personal preference though. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 17, 2020
This is my second favorite fragrance from Byredo after Bal d'Afrique. Its longevity and sillage are exceptional - just one pump of the full-size bottle is more than enough. The scent is dominated by apple and black currant notes, with occasional hints of fig. To describe it differently, it's like taking a swim in a fruit basket. Unfortunately, this ill-fated perfume is soon to be discontinued. Also, the top notes are incredibly sharp and sweet, which might be a bit overwhelming for some. Due to the intense top notes, I recommend applying it to your abdomen rather than your neck area. Remember, with the full-size bottle, a single pump is sufficient. - so*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedFeb 4, 2020
As the fragrance that introduced me to Byredo, I think it's the most quintessentially Byredo scent... haha. It's like a basket of sun-ripened berries left on a sunlit table, their aroma intensifying over time. The fruity sweetness is quite prominent. To describe it more precisely, it's reminiscent of the scent of overripe, dark red fruits you can't quite name! The longevity, sillage, and projection are all excellent. I can't really find any downsides to it. To be honest, it's not a scent you'd typically expect on a person. It's a bit... unconventional, shall we say? It's more suited to a particular ambiance or space. Personally... while I adore this fragrance, I rarely wear it when going out... haha! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 27, 2019
If you're looking for a unique, unisex fragrance, I highly recommend this. If you're tired of common perfume scents you encounter on the street, definitely give this a sniff. I use Pulp on its own, but I also love layering it with sweeter or floral fragrances. Just one or two sprays, and the scent lasts incredibly long. The biggest drawback would be the high price point. Since fragrance preferences vary greatly from person to person, make sure to sample it before purchasing. It's a unisex scent, but if you want a more feminine touch, try layering it with a sweet or floral perfume! As it's quite concentrated, one or two spritzes are enough. - mi*****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 21, 2019
Neutral. To me, it smelled like figs with slightly charred skin - a bit earthy and not entirely light. If you're expecting a fruity or light floral scent, you'll likely be disappointed. Perhaps it's better to say they've captured even the bitter notes of fig skin... The cardamom and cedarwood are quite prominent. It seems like a fragrance suited for breezy seasons... Though I suspect the scent profile itself might be polarizing. I rushed to buy this after hearing it had prominent peach blossom and apple notes... Well, I've been duped. Let this be a lesson: always test fragrances on your skin before purchasing.
