I'm on my second jar of this product! Among pore masks, I've honestly never encountered one this powerful and satisfying. There's a slight tingling sensation, which must mean the beneficial ingredients are penetrating the skin effectively. It spreads smoothly and rinses off easily when washing your face. The price is a bit steep, but once you open a jar, you don't use it daily, so it lasts quite a while. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 30, 2023
Currently using it. It dries super quickly, though there's a slight tingling sensation. Haven't fully used it yet, so I'm not sure. I'll update after more use. The scent isn't great though. - sa*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 22, 2023
It seems the photo hasn't been updated. Rather than effectively removing pores, you should view this as a hydrating mask. It also has a soothing effect. It dries quickly after application, and you need to use a sponge or soft microfiber cloth to help rinse it off properly. - oh*****Oily SkinRecommendedApr 29, 2023
This is my second bottle of this product. I started using it for pore care, and I've noticed it really brightens my complexion and leaves my skin feeling soft! I use it once a week, and not only does it work wonders for me, but it's also perfect for my extremely oily-skinned sister. It's fantastic for evening out skin tone and improving texture. The scent is a bit strong, so those with super sensitive skin should take note. It has a slight petroleum-like smell. Leave it on for about 20 minutes, and when you feel it tightening, gently wash it off with lukewarm water. - no*******Combination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 20, 2022
After using this mask and cleansing, it effectively removes dead skin cells and seems to brighten my complexion It's a bit inconvenient that it's a wash-off mask - sm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDec 8, 2021
The product didn't have usage instructions on the back, so at first, I applied it to dry skin without knowing. It turns out it's meant to be used on damp skin after cleansing. I was worried that diluting it with water might reduce its effectiveness, but surprisingly, it seemed to adhere better between the pores in a thin layer, making it more effective at removing blackheads on my nose. I liked how it made my nose look smooth with a nice glow! After trying Origins' pink mask and liking it, I decided to buy their charcoal mask too. Although the texture is different, it contains kaolin clay, so it has a similar drying sensation. It seems to have a slight charcoal scent, and the slippery texture made it difficult to apply evenly. Depending on my skin condition, about every other use caused a slight tingling sensation on the inner parts of my face. Because of this, I've started applying it only to specific areas instead of all over. Also, it left my skin feeling too dry after use... I think it might be too harsh for winter, so I'm considering trying it again in summer. - pi*******Dry SkinRecommendedJul 24, 2021
This mask is particularly great for summer use. It gives a sense of regulating sebum and dead skin cells to some extent, and makes your complexion appear brighter. After washing it off, your skin doesn't feel overly dry but rather comfortably matte, and makeup seems to apply better the next day. The first few times, it stung and caused a burning sensation. Many other reviewers mention this too - you really feel that 'tingling' sensation. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, so I endured it, but in my case, it only happened briefly during application and then subsided. I didn't experience any blemishes. It seems this mask can vary greatly depending on the individual. Now, whether my skin condition has changed or not, I don't feel any stinging at all. It seems to cause irritation when the skin is damaged or in a sensitive state. Also, since it's a wash-off mask, it can be a bit of a hassle to rinse off. Those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid this product! It's great to use this mask after removing excess sebum, and then follow up with a sheet mask for added nourishment - it leaves your skin feeling fresh and revitalized. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 23, 2021
Compared to other mud masks, this one has a thinner consistency, which makes it spread smoothly. I liked that it's easy to apply and does a good job of removing dead skin cells. I'm not sure about its effectiveness on sebum control. Like the pink mask, there's a slight tingling sensation right after application (it subsides as the mask dries). I recently bought an Innisfree mud mask that I really like - yo*************Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 22, 2021
After using this mask, my nose feels so clean! It definitely seems to be effective at clearing out the pores! I have combination dehydrated skin, and this mask makes my face feel incredibly tight! Origins has another black mask with honey, which I personally find more moisturizing while still cleansing the pores effectively. Anyway, this one is a bit drying. - ha********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 6, 2021
I frequently use mud-type wash-off masks and have tried various ones like Lush's Shrek mask, Catastrophe Cosmetic, Seaweed, and Innisfree's Volcanic Clay mask. Among them all, this Origins mask felt the most hydrating and applied smoothly like a moisturizer, making it easy to use. While other products have a thick consistency with noticeable particles for better sebum absorption, Origins' mask has almost no perceptible particles. I initially thought this might reduce its effectiveness, but due to its high hydration and excellent cooling effect, it worked wonders for pore tightening! I recommend it for use after extracting blackheads or melting sebum, as it's great for pore minimizing and soothing. The lack of noticeable particles is both a pro and a con. After leaving the mask on, you can gently massage it with a bit of water, similar to using a cleansing oil, for easy dead skin cell removal. The particles are smaller than in a scrub, making it less irritating, but it could still be too much for super sensitive skin. However, this mask felt the least irritating of all, making it suitable for sensitive skin or when dealing with blemishes. The formula is quite thin, so if applied in a thin layer, your skin is almost visible through it. The thinner you apply it, the faster it dries out, so it's better to apply a slightly thicker layer.
