It definitely brightens your complexion (though this could be a drawback for some) Please... don't buy this... especially if you have oily skin. I broke out with acne all over just one day after using this. It's also very irritating to the skin. The white cast is a huge drawback! It doesn't just brighten your skin, it makes you look ghostly pale... If you're going to use it, be very careful with the amount you apply - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 23, 2019
Kiehl's is still the only sunscreen I've found that doesn't sting at all, even if it gets in your eyes After using the basic product, I tried the brightening moisturizer line for the first time, but the white cast is so severe that I can't apply it generously - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 22, 2019
1. Convenient travel size:) At 30ml, it's quite compact. Perfect size to carry in your purse! 2. Noticeable brightening effect:) I thought it would have a purple tint since the container has a lavender line, but it's actually a light lemon hue. While it gives a slight white cast like effect, it definitely evens skin tone, and the brightening effect lasts long! I only applied this product after my skincare routine before going out, and my complexion still looked radiant even after 5 hours. 1. Pilling:( It pills less if you use a small amount, but if you use the recommended amount, it pills severely like dead skin. To be honest, it pills even with a small amount. 2. Small quantity:( For a sunscreen that's used daily, the amount is too little. It's not particularly cheap either, so it's not great value for money. 3. White cast:( I personally don't mind whether there's a white cast or not as long as it brightens my complexion, but this isn't a natural-looking tone-up. It's closer to a white cast effect, so I think more people might dislike it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 1, 2019
The only positive is that despite ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate being high up in the ingredient list, it didn't cause any eye irritation. No matter how much you rub it in, there's an intense white cast that just won't go away. You might reduce the white cast slightly by applying tiny amounts, but it's impossible to use the recommended amount for proper sun protection. Even if you apply a small amount, spread it for ages with your hands, and then pat it with a sponge, the white cast is still extremely noticeable. While it doesn't pill when you apply makeup over it, as time passes, an excessive amount of oil comes through, leaving your skin looking greasy and shiny. I'm not a fan of brightening moisturizers to begin with, but this one is truly disappointing. Even if you typically enjoy brightening products, I'd recommend choosing something else. This doesn't give you a radiant complexion - it just makes you look pale. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMar 15, 2019
It feels gentle on the skin. The texture isn't as moisturizing as a cream, which makes it less stuffy to wear in summer. White cast! The biggest drawback of this product is the white cast... No matter how much you rub it in, the white coating just won't disappear. It's a sunscreen with high oil content but little hydration. It feels like it's coating the skin with an oily film, so why is the white cast so severe? You can make it work by slowly absorbing small amounts and layering, but it's just too inconvenient.
