I didn't feel any dryness, probably because I use this after my cleansing water and before my foam cleanser! The amount is generous and it's affordable, so I think it'll last a long time! The cleansing effectiveness isn't bad either~ Even though I don't have super sensitive skin, it stings so much when I use it. While it doesn't cause blemishes, my skin tingles and turns red every time I use it. I'm using it with hesitation, wondering if I should continue... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 4, 2019
I thought the word 'carbonated' meant it would be harsh on my skin, but it wasn't as intense as I imagined. It's similar to regular cleansing water. Let me share the positives first: Volume: I bought it on sale for 9,900 won, and I'm satisfied with the large volume for the price. It's rare to find such a big size at this low cost. Scent: I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, but this one wasn't bothersome. Since I use a foam cleanser for my second cleanse, I didn't pay much attention to the scent during the first cleanse when removing makeup. Cleansing: I wear heavy eye makeup, including eyeliner, mascara, and shadow right up to the waterline. It didn't remove everything in one go. I soak a cotton pad and hold it for 3-5 seconds before wiping, but it didn't clean as thoroughly as I'd like. I had to use a cotton swab separately for my waterline, outer corners, and inner corners, which was a bit inconvenient. Still, considering the price I paid, it removes makeup fairly well. Irritation: Because my eye makeup is quite heavy, I need to remove it properly during the first cleanse using cotton pads and swabs. However, this cleansing water really stung my eyes. It felt unpleasantly warm and irritating. It's like having bloodshot eyes, and they feel dry. I'm still using it until I switch to a different cleansing water, though. Redness: I naturally have redness and blemishes on my skin. When I use this cleansing water to remove makeup, my skin immediately turns red and feels irritated as soon as I wipe with the soaked cotton pad. It does remove face makeup quite well, but I'm worried about the skin irritation that comes with it. (As shown in the photo, just one swipe on my wrist immediately caused redness) Blemishes: While using this cleansing water didn't cause visible acne or pimples, my skin texture became uneven with tiny bumps, and my complexion isn't what it used to be. I'm not sure if I'm using it incorrectly, but it seems to aggravate my blemishes even more. The persistent redness is concerning. For those who wear light makeup, you could probably finish your cleansing routine with just this cleansing water followed by rinsing with water. Honestly, I'd recommend spending a bit more money or doing more research to find a better cleansing water. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 1, 2019
You can often find this on sale at drugstores, making it a great value for the amount you get. It effectively removes most makeup, including base makeup and even eyeliner. However, it struggles with more stubborn products. There's a slight stinging sensation in the eyes, which is a bit disappointing. It doesn't work well on lip makeup or mascara, so if you wear a full face of makeup, you'll need to use this alongside another makeup remover. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 25, 2019
1. The amount is incredible... It really doesn't seem to run out no matter how much you use. Even with daily, generous application, it lasts forever. Once you buy one, you won't have to worry about running out! Haha. 2. It seems to have a slight pore-tightening effect? There's a bit of a dry feeling, which might be intentional to create that pore-tightening sensation. It does seem to have a slight effect. However, it's difficult to expect significant pore-reducing results from skincare products alone. 1. It stings. No matter how gently I apply it with a cotton pad soaked in the product, it still stings. It's somewhat okay on areas with thicker skin like the forehead and cheekbones, but it's quite uncomfortable around the eyes and mouth. This is the only cleansing water I've used, so I'm not sure if others are the same. 2. There's residue left when used alone. Some people use cleansing water for their morning cleanse without water, but I'm not sure if it's the same for all or just this one - there's a noticeable residue that makes it difficult to finish cleansing with this alone. It makes you want to at least rinse with water afterwards. I use a low pH foam cleanser as my second step. On days when I don't wear mascara and eyeliner, I recommend using this as the first cleanse, followed by a low pH foam cleanser for the second step.
