Hwahae Tester Review: Here's my honest evaluation without any free product samples. If you're looking for a pink-tinted concealer suitable for cool-toned skin, I highly recommend this! For reference, my skin type is dry-combination, non-pigmented, dull, dehydrated, and super sensitive. My complexion tends to feel suffocated in summer and flaky in winter. This product has a semi-matte finish, which can be both a pro and a con. It leans slightly more towards the matte side. The only drawback is a slightly peculiar scent. Otherwise, I have no complaints. I'm really happy with the color too. I'm not a fan of heavy makeup, so even for my full face routine, I use this instead of foundation. Here's a cool-toned tip for coverage. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 18, 2021
The color is natural and there's more product than I expected, so it lasts a long time. Some reviews mention poor coverage, but I'm satisfied with this level of coverage. The case is fragile. I tried to twist the lid on and it cracked. It might leak, so you always have to store it upright. - pa****Dry SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessDead Skin CellsApr 17, 2021
It's really quite decent overall. The coverage and staying power are both just right. It dries too quickly, making it difficult to apply... And it's extremely drying on the skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinAug 30, 2020
Long-lasting wear Decent coverage Adheres well to the skin Caused skin breakouts Too much product comes out at once Unpleasant scent - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 6, 2020
I love how the pink-beige shade makes my complexion look more radiant. The coverage is pretty decent too. It's become one of my go-to products that I use regularly. The scent can be a bit overwhelming if you smell it for too long. It's the kind that might make you feel queasy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedFeb 8, 2020
* 100% honest review from a real purchase * ✔️ Coverage - Covers almost 90% of imperfections ✔️ Lip gradation - Great for toning down natural lip color when creating a gradient lip look ✔️ Longevity - I have dry skin, but it doesn't break down even in summer and easily lasts 6 hours! ✔️ Target age group - As a student with a limited budget, this product is perfect for teens and those in their 20s! The product dispenses more than expected, so you need to control the amount. The coverage tends to fade easily around the nose area. You can also use it as a foundation alternative by applying it in a thin, even layer over your face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJan 12, 2020
If you're looking for a concealer with a pink undertone suitable for cool-toned skin, I highly recommend this! It works perfectly even on my skin that became super sensitive due to using the wrong cosmetics - no blemishes at all! Unlike other concealers where the product often gets on the cap when opening and closing, this one stays clean thanks to its large container and long applicator. It's fantastic that it doesn't mess up my makeup pouch or other products! It has a slightly matte finish, which can be both a pro and a con. This means it provides great coverage and lasting power, but those with dry skin might find it a bit drying. The only downside is the slightly unusual scent. Other than that, I love everything about it, including the color! I'm not a fan of heavy foundation, so even for my full makeup routine, I sometimes skip foundation and just use this to cover blemishes! - ch********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 11, 2019
My skin type is extremely dry + combination dehydrated + sensitive + super sensitive. Due to my sensitive skin, I felt suffocated in summer and my skin flaked in winter. I've been living foundation-free, following my younger sister who doesn't wear base makeup. I didn't even own a cushion compact. I only used sun cushions, but when I heard you could do base makeup with just concealer, I searched for popular products online. Eventually, I ended up bringing one home from the Innisfree store near my house on an impromptu outing. First off, even a small amount brightens my complexion. The biggest advantage might be that you can choose a product without a yellow base, unlike others. It goes on clean and clear. And surprisingly, it doesn't feel heavy. I was worried since I hadn't worn base makeup for a long time, but it applies lightly and doesn't feel heavy at all. With my super sensitive skin, I was concerned about blemishes, but fortunately, that didn't happen. It doesn't have that typical heavy foundation feel, and there's no caking or flaking around the nose or mouth. I bought the product in summer and used it comfortably even on hot days. Maybe because it's lightweight, it feels too dry from autumn onwards. Or perhaps it's because my skin is dry, but now I apply a generous amount of moisturizer before using it. It's fine during the day, but by evening I can feel the dryness again, so I'm thinking I might need to look for a different product for the dead of winter. As for coverage... I'm not the type to worry about coverage, so I wasn't disappointed, but when I look in the mirror, I can still see my skin's blemishes, freckles, or discoloration. I think it might be because I'm using a small amount, or maybe because it's a 'wide cover' product. Still, the staying power is great - it remains intact even after a full day out. This product alone is sufficient in summer! But when the cold winter comes, it's too dry! So make sure to build a strong skincare base before applying! And for simple makeup, or if you rarely wear base makeup, I think you'll be quite satisfied with this product! - kj******Combination SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2019
If you usually wear shade 21, this color should match well. It was a perfect fit for my complexion. The coverage is non-existent... It seems to have no covering power at all. It's a bit matte, so if you apply multiple layers, it might start to pill, especially around areas like the eyes. The fragrance is really overpowering. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 13, 2019
1. Ingredients I find that my skin generally agrees with Innisfree products, so I've been using this concealer without any blemishes. If you've used Innisfree's skincare line or foundation without issues, I think you can use this worry-free! 2. Application I previously used 'Canmake Color Stick Moistick Lasting Cover', but sometimes felt it was a bit dry and occasionally settled into fine lines. I've been using My Concealer for about 5 days now, and so far it feels nicely hydrating! 3. Compatibility with Foundation I'm currently using Innisfree My Foundation 2.4, and I think the compatibility is top-notch! It's hard to explain, but when applied, it just blends seamlessly. Of course, this might just be my opinion, but I really feel it works well with My Foundation. 4. Coverage Area I have some freckles, so I chose the wide cover option! I apply it with the tip, pat it in, and for areas needing extra coverage, I use the tip end to dab on more. I'm satisfied with the coverage range! 5. Longevity On the day I'm writing this, I wore it for over 5 hours while doing laundry, house cleaning, work cleaning, and walking my dog - enough to break a slight sweat. When I checked the mirror midway, the concealer hadn't broken down, and I didn't feel the need to touch up! If you don't sweat much like me, I think you could use this worry-free even in summer! 1. Coverage To be honest, the coverage isn't exceptionally high. However, I think it's unrealistic to expect perfect ingredients, coverage, and price all in one product, so I'm satisfied using it. It can cover light freckles, so if that's the level of coverage you're looking for, I don't think you'll have any major issues using it.
