Light beige eyeshadow: The fine particles might seem clumpy at first, but after a gentle rub, it gives off a vaseline-like glow. Its skin-tone shade could double as a highlighter. Muted pink eyeshadow: Surprisingly, it's not as muted as expected. The color payoff differs from how it looks in the pan! It's more of a red eyeshadow, but with a beautiful gold shimmer that's well-distributed. The pigmentation is stronger than anticipated - a light sweep across the eyelids can create a very alluring eye look! Overall impression: This isn't so much about excess powder fallout as it is about the application method. It doesn't seem designed for brush application. The color payoff with fingers is so pretty that a brush feels unnecessary, especially given the subtle shades. Perfect for a quick swipe before heading to work! It's an everyday shadow that you'll find yourself reaching for more often than you'd expect. The compact is smaller than a NARS blush, and when you open it, you'll find an even tinier eyeshadow pan inside. While I don't think it's overpriced for its quality, it's just... adequately priced. You could get it cheaper if you order directly from Cult Beauty. The subtle nature of these shadows makes them great as base colors. Try laying down the pink shadow, then concentrate the white shimmer in the center of the eyelid or under the eyes for a beautiful effect. - po*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 4, 2019
I tried this on at the duty-free shop when I was into more subtle eye makeup. The satin pearl finish really appealed to me, so I bought it and used it regularly for a while. It's great for everyday looks - I'd use two shades together. Think of it as a basic beige palette. The color payoff wasn't particularly impressive. The texture also felt a bit dry and powdery. - gm*****Combination SkinAcne SkinMar 22, 2019
The color seems pretty, but then again, maybe not... I usually love NARS products. They have good staying power and beautiful colors. But this is the first NARS item I've found disappointing. The eyeshadow feels like sand or pebbles on my eyes. It doesn't adhere well at all, just sits on top of the skin. The texture is gritty with poor adhesion. The color is also too light to use on its own. You really need to test the color on your eyes in-store. I swatched it on my wrist and bought it, but now I feel like I wasted my money...
