It's mild. When something gets in my child's eyes, they usually scream loudly, but this one just gently prompts me to wipe it off quickly..? Since I've never had it get in my own eyes, I'm not sure how strong it is, but it does seem quite mild.

It seemed gentle and not too slippery. I used it on my baby and tried it when washing my own hair, and even though I have a lot of hair, I had to use a huge amount for it to lather up properly and feel like it was cleaning well. But since I have an oily scalp, my hair would still get greasy the next day. However, when I used this product, the greasiness didn't build up as quickly, so I've been using it more often lately.
