It also had a soothing effect when applied to areas with heat sensitivity.
ConsIt's challenging to use in winter. When the tube is almost empty, it's hard to squeeze out the product, so you might need to cut it open. Also, the amount is relatively small, so it runs out quickly.

If you find rich night creams a bit heavy, this might be perfect for you. It's a versatile product that's easy to use. I'd recommend it for those with oily skin. Oh, and by the way, the photo doesn't capture the color well - it's actually a light baby pink!
ConsI didn't notice any improvement in redness, and the hydration is lacking... It's strange for a night cream. Even when I layer it three times, it still feels insufficient. It might be good for people with oily skin in summer, but for me, my skin becomes extremely dry in winter... However, maybe because I'm layering it three times, it feels like I'm using it up quickly?
TipIf one layer isn't enough, try layering it multiple times!

ConsWhile the ingredients are good and I bought it based on a YouTuber's recommendation, I think my skin is prone to clogged pores if the formula isn't transparent. Being winter, when I had some redness and applied it generously, I ended up with comedonal acne. Later, when I applied it locally to areas with blemishes, it didn't really have much of a soothing effect. I'm disappointed as I had high hopes for this product.
TipAfter years of just browsing Hwahae, I'm finally writing reviews to seek and offer advice. My skin type is extremely sensitive combination dehydrated skin, prone to clogged pores and difficult to balance oil and moisture. As it gets drier, I get more closed comedones. Adding oil clogs my pores, while adding moisture leads to dehydration and breakouts. I'm more prone to closed comedones than inflammatory acne, and using the wrong cosmetics can cause localized dermatitis. Since everyone's skin is different, please use my review as a reference. I hope your skin improves! Ingredients that work for me or are in decent products: Butylene Glycol, Glycerin Ingredients in products that don't suit me: Acids, Silicones, Shea Butter

I remembered I had a Cica sample, so I applied it generously morning and evening for 2 days, then immediately bought the full-size product. The soothing effect is really good. It's not only effective for acne and milia, but also noticeably helps with redness. I felt the difference even more after the laser treatment. The texture is moisturizing and slightly thick, but it spreads smoothly without feeling heavy at all. It's not sticky, which makes it even better. The fresh finish makes it suitable for all skin types. For those with dry skin, it might be a bit drying if used alone, so add another product with it.
ConsIt's become my holy grail, so the only downside is... I wish it came in a larger size! Adding a review after completely emptying a tube: The effect on redness seems to diminish after about 2 weeks, but it's still great for soothing milia. As winter approached, even with my combination skin, I found it a bit drying around the mouth and chin area when used as a final step. After applying toner in 2-3 layers, mixing in two drops of desert jojoba oil works perfectly. When you think it's empty, cut open the tube. The thick texture means there's plenty still clinging to the sides of the container.
TipOn days when your skin is super sensitive, keep your skincare routine simple. After gently prepping your skin with toner, apply thin layers of the Cica balm 2-3 times. I take about a pea-sized amount, warm it between my palms to loosen the texture, then gently pat it onto the driest or most irritated areas first without rubbing. Then I use the remaining product on my palms to pat my forehead and nose. I repeat this 2-3 times, adjusting based on my skin's condition. As some of you may know, for a few days after laser treatment, skin becomes very sensitive, easily reddened, and extremely tight. The Cica balm was a real lifesaver during this time. This is a tip I've learned through experience, so I highly recommend it. I've known since the Enprani days that they're good at basics, but Holika Holika is truly a gem for skincare essentials. May they prosper!

I also struggle with blemishes and overall redness is a big concern for me! Soothing: This product seems to be really effective for redness!!! When applied to flushed and sensitive skin, it's noticeably calmer the next morning! It worked well not just for redness caused by external irritants, but also for my natural redness!! You can visibly see the skin becoming lighter over time. If you're looking for a soothing effect, it's definitely a 5-star product!
ConsScent: While I'm really satisfied with the product's effectiveness, it has a slightly foot-odor-like scent... It doesn't feel great applying it to my face. However, the scent does dissipate over time, so if you're not particularly sensitive to fragrances, it might not be an issue! Hydration: Although this is a cream, its hydrating power isn't particularly impressive! During seasonal changes like now or in winter, you'll need to apply an additional moisturizing cream. If you have very oily skin, using this as a skin emulsion or cica cream might work well!
TipWhile it's not a formula that sits on top of the skin, applying it thickly during the day might cause your makeup to pill. I found it worked best when I applied it lightly during the day and then used it as a thick mask-like layer in the evening!

I've always been concerned about facial redness, and I was lucky enough to win this product to try out! #Reduction in Redness This was what I was most excited about, and whether it's thanks to the balm or not, I really feel like my facial redness has decreased compared to before! Compared to the past, my face is noticeably less red in the mornings and evenings, and I can even see the benefits when I apply makeup. #Application & Hydration Perhaps because it's a balm type, even a small amount spreads smoothly, and I love how it makes my face look sleek as if covered with a film! The hydration is also excellent, with moisture remaining until I wash my face the next morning! #Scent The balm has a light pink color, and I found the scent to be almost undetectable, so it wasn't uncomfortable to apply. #Packaging The tube-type packaging is hygienic and makes it easy to control the amount, which seems economical! It's convenient to squeeze onto your finger and apply.
ConsWell... if I had to point out something, compared to the Physiogel or Hanyul creams I used before, the hydration is slightly less effective. It seems like a product better suited for seasonal changes rather than the depths of winter!

Let me give you some context: * I have a sun allergy * My skin reacts badly to yellow dust, fine dust, temperature changes, and incompatible cosmetics (Even hot showers cause severe redness) * Spicy and irritating foods also trigger reactions * After developing contact dermatitis, I used steroid ointments on my entire face for about 5 years (on and off) (Please, never use them long-term like I did. It's disastrous.) I'm relieved to have found another cosmetic that works for my skin. Especially since even products that usually suit me can cause reactions when my skin is at its worst before my period. Even products with great ingredients can sometimes not work out. The Hwahae Testers review period coincided with that time, so it became a forced experiment period. Fortunately, I got through it without any blemishes. When I received the Holika Holika Less On Skin, I tested it on half of my face without any other skincare, comparing it to my usual products on the other half. There were no reactions or blemishes. Phew! Since it was a bit dry on its own, I used this routine for two weeks: * Left side: Aromatica Aloe Gel -> Desert Essence Jojoba Oil -> Beyond Angel Aqua Ceramide Cream * Right side: Aromatica Aloe Gel -> Desert Essence Jojoba Oil -> Holika Holika Less On Skin Redness Calming Cica Balm The Beyond side was slightly less dry, but I noticed 2-3 small whiteheads, probably due to the shea butter. It was fine in mid-winter though. The Holika Holika product was a tad drier but caused no blemishes. If you have dry skin, layering it with other products might work well. It applies smoothly due to its high moisture content. I was startled by the pink tint at first, thinking it contained pigments, but the official website explains it's from Eclipta prostrata extract, known for its excellent soothing properties, not artificial coloring. That's a relief! After two weeks of using it on half my face, I found it had a definite calming effect and caused no blemishes, which is great. However, I'm not sure about the redness reduction. The official site claims an 8-fold decrease in redness based on clinical trials, but it might depend on the type of redness. Their photos seem to show people with acne-prone skin. My skin isn't acne-prone, but thin and sensitive due to long-term steroid use for contact dermatitis. While I didn't notice redness reduction, the fact that it didn't cause any blemishes is enough for me to consider purchasing it. It's so hard to find suitable products for sensitive skin!
ConsIt's a bit dry for winter use. Also, please make a larger size too. While this size is great for carrying in a gym bag or purse, it would be nice to have a larger size for home use.
TipI found that applying oil after toner or essence, and then applying cream as the final step, was less drying than applying cream and then oil. I saw this tip on Director Pi's blog and tried changing the order... Oh wow! My skin feels more hydrated this way.
