In terms of lip color alone, this is my holy grail lipstick! As someone with cool undertones and warm overtones, this shade suits me perfectly. I've never found a lip color that matches me so well! At first glance, it's like an orange-red brick color? Hmm... Anyway, the color payoff is great, giving a vibrant flush when applied. The product comes in a plastic container, which I love for being super lightweight! The shade isn't too red or pink, which can be overwhelming to look at. Even when applied heavily, it looks beautiful, probably because it matches my complexion so well. When applied lightly, it looks natural, as if my lips just have a healthy flush. I've spread the word to my friends, and three of them have bought it. They all love it, and one even purchased other shades! I use it heavily when I want to dress up and lightly for school. I'm already running out and definitely planning to repurchase. Looking at other reviews, it seems opinions vary widely. Maybe it's because of skin tone? Or are people underestimating it because of the price? For me... I absolutely adored it. I... h...highly recommend it... For those saying it's drying, that might be because your lips are naturally dry. It has a true velvet texture - soft and powdery. It doesn't have any moisturizing properties to begin with. If you have dead skin cells, of course, this solid velvet powder formula will cling to them! However, it doesn't settle into lip lines. If it matches your complexion, this is a great value-for-money must-have item - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMay 12, 2020
Among the orange-brown shades, this one has a slightly stronger red undertone. The container color matches the actual product color, making it easy to find. It's my go-to daily item among similar shades. When applied, the texture truly lives up to its 'airy' name - it feels light and not stuffy on the skin. No pink staining! The scent might be polarizing, so be sure to test it before purchasing. The application feels a bit stiffer compared to other velvet formulas. It can accentuate dead skin cells. The staying power is weak. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2020
Peripera Ink the Airy Velvet Lipstick - An effortless beauty essential Peripera has had this magical charm that's kept me hooked since my school days. The Ink the Airy Velvet tint was my go-to, but now this lipstick? It's just gorgeous! GOOD: Budget-friendly The price is incredibly wallet-friendly. I snagged it for around $7 on a certain online marketplace! The regular price is about $11, which isn't bad for a lipstick, but getting it for $7? Now that's what I call a steal! GOOD: Pigmentation game strong The color payoff is absolutely top-notch! One swipe and it's like, "This is my color!" It just pops, you know? In the photo, the left side is one swipe with a gradient effect, while the right is two passes. Completely different, right? It's like two different products! GOOD: Finish Personally, I'm not a fan of dewy makeup, so I've always been more of a matte & velvet girl. It's not an exaggeration to say I bought this because of the "velvet" in its name. True to its name, it feels velvety as you apply it, and the finish? It's just oh-so-smooth! BAD: Dryness This seems unavoidable with matte and velvet finishes. It's a lipstick that really depends on your lip condition. It feels like it's creating a film on your lips, so if your lips are dry or have dead skin cells, it tends to cling to those areas. BAD: Ingredients I'm mentioning this out of courtesy, but there aren't many lipsticks with clean ingredients. Only 3 out of 20 ingredients are considered 'good'. But for this price and quality, I think it's done well. As you can see in the photo, even with the same velvet feel, you can create different looks by varying the number of applications or by using gradient techniques. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 22, 2020
It's easy to control the color intensity, so you can apply it lightly even when you're not wearing other makeup. Being a velvet finish, it does tend to emphasize dead skin cells in winter. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 1, 2019
The color is so pretty, and it's great when I go out without makeup. It doesn't make my lips stand out awkwardly. It applies very smoothly, and I love the velvety feel - it's so soft and comfortable. Because of its velvety and matte texture, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells quite a bit and feels too dry. It's a lipstick that requires your lips to be in good condition before application... The night before using this, I apply a generous amount of Vaseline to my lips before bed. By the next day, the dead skin cells on my lips disappear, leaving them soft. Even right before applying the lipstick, I put on a very thin layer of Vaseline. This works really well for me. I've been following this routine every day.
