What bothered me initially was that despite its fluid formula, it felt quite thick when applied. Whether I used a brush or a puff, the application was thicker than the formula, making me worry that it might be too matte. However, that thickness actually helps it adhere beautifully as a base. The tone is definitely enlivened. So instead of the original purpose of a darker look, it suits the areas that need highlighter, like the nose bridge and forehead, much better. Despite the matte feel, it doesn't look powdery, and there are no visible creases under the eyes when applied. Spreading it all over the face makes it significantly brighter and radiant, with a distinct pink undertone. It brightens the complexion so well that even a small amount can transform the entire face. There are no complaints about the product's functionality, but there are minor complaints about the tube packaging. I'm trying to squeeze out a little at a time to use it, but it seems like there is a lot of empty space in the tube compared to the contents. When I squeeze it forcefully, the contents come out gushing, much more than I need. Since this is a product that is effective even in small amounts, on the days when a large amount comes out unexpectedly, it becomes quite troublesome. I wish the packaging had a more delicate control mechanism.

If you prefer a clear but slightly muted pink base for ivory skin, this concealer is perfect to mix with Dior foundation in shade 00. My base preference is very light with low saturation. You know how some brands' shade 21 can lean orange or gray? My natural skin is very light ivory with low saturation (neither red nor yellow, very neutral). I used to enjoy palettes from Summer Light to Winter Soft, but as my taste shifted to Spring-Fall Soft, I love adding a 'rosy' touch to my base. People who suit bright spring colors often have skin with a pink undertone that can almost look flushed. This concealer has an honest muted cool pink tone without much fluorescence. With Hanskin's signature thick texture, it pairs well with the Dior foundation, which can be tricky to apply as it sets quickly and thinly. Dior foundation covers even the tiniest whiteheads, but can look a bit stark. The thick Hanskin concealer helps balance this out. I highly recommend this for those wanting to change their personal color. Note that it may look reddish when used alone. (I also use it as a blush, and it's gorgeous.) I switched to this combo from a rosy Chanel concealer for autumn when my skin got drier. The texture isn't the best, but I hope it doesn't get discontinued before I find a replacement.
