I'm absolutely thrilled with this product - it's my holy grail! I've been stocking up, worried it might be discontinued. I came here to rave about it, but the ratings... What? I'm so confused. Maybe people dislike it because of the rich texture? I'll have to read the reviews carefully later. I was searching for a mineral sunscreen stick. Even if organic sunscreens apply smoothly, they only start protecting after 30 minutes. But sunstick users often apply in a rush, right? Especially over sunscreen, it might rub off a bit, so I felt it absolutely had to be a mineral sunscreen for instant protection. No to matte sticks! I prefer matte sunscreens... That gradual oil build-up throughout the day, even if it's my own, no thanks! So despite my combination dehydrated skin, I go for hydrating toners and matte sunscreens. But I've tried various matte sticks, and their application is just not great. They also tend to sit on top of the skin, which I dislike. So for sticks, I prefer a richer feel! It's such a waste - I couldn't even use half of some sunsticks. I don't usually use sunsticks alone. I apply a thin layer of this stick, then add a matte mineral sunscreen on top. (Trust me, you won't get burned at all!) Since I need to use a matte sunscreen, I've been desperately searching for a richer sunstick. When you apply sunstick then sunscreen, the stick acts almost like a primer. It improves the application of mineral sunscreens, provides extra sun protection, ensures even coverage, increases longevity, and this slightly sticky sunstick complements matte sunscreens that might look cakey. Best of all, it makes your skin look amazing! Perfect for going bare-faced. Anyway, I've struggled with sunsticks, but as someone who's found their holy grail mineral sunscreen, I'm overjoyed. I'm just scared it might be discontinued... Please show this product some love! It absolutely can't be discontinued! It's not suitable for applying over full makeup due to its rich texture - it might cause your makeup to slide off. Try applying it after your skincare routine but before makeup. Your skin will look radiant and your makeup will apply beautifully! There's a famous mineral sunscreen from Goodal... Please try using it together with this product. These two are just meant to be a set. They truly shine when used together! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 13, 2025
It glides on smoothly and effortlessly. While it's on the firmer side, it doesn't clump up when applied. It has a rich feel that allows for a gentle application. Personally, I didn't experience any eye irritation. Despite not containing any pore-clogging ingredients, this product causes blemishes for me, so I only use it on my body. It feels a bit sticky due to its high oil content. Personally, I don't plan to repurchase it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 10, 2024
I haven't tried many sunscreens, but this is my favorite product after the Hera sunscreen (which I think costs around $50 for 50ml). While there's a slight white cast, it doesn't really feel like it's leaving a pale appearance. I usually mix my moisturizer with La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 cream, and the brightening effect is quite similar... I actually thought this might be a brightening moisturizer! There's a bit of stickiness that some others have mentioned. But I personally thought of it more as a pleasant bouncy texture... I guess it's a matter of perspective. Also, if you get oily, your hair might stick to your face a little, but I don't mind. You can just unstick it... haha! Anyway, I definitely recommend this product! Apply the stick all over your face, then use your fingers to spread it evenly for thorough coverage. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 26, 2024
The white cast isn't too intense, just a mild brightening effect. It's also less irritating than expected. The application sensation was quite noticeable. The oiliness was a bit disappointing. The combination of shine and slight pilling leaves a somewhat heavy feeling on the skin. Even when it looks empty, there's still some product left at the end of the tube. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinJul 6, 2024
The sunstick format makes it easy to apply with quick swipes. I'd recommend this for those with very dry skin that needs extra hydration. It's excessively rich and leaves my skin feeling way too greasy and sticky. I stocked up on the 1+1 deal, but I'll have to save it for winter use. In this scorching summer, when I went out wearing this, the combination of sweat and the oily residue left my complexion in a terrible state. The stick is also quite hard, making application uncomfortable. Plus, it leaves a noticeable white cast. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 26, 2024
It's moisturizing and absorbs well. It's so gentle and non-irritating that even a child could use it. The portability is great, making it convenient, and it doesn't leave a heavy white cast - it's just right. It's somewhat rich, which can make the skin feel a bit greasy. If you have oily skin, you might want to reconsider using this. If you were expecting a light, fresh feel, you might be disappointed. However, if you're not particularly sensitive to rich products, it could work well when used in combination with a sebum control powder. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 8, 2021
It's perfect for these days when we're wearing masks, as it provides just the right amount of white cast even without makeup. I love that it doesn't cause breakouts like some sunscreens do when applied incorrectly. The only downside is that it leaves a bit of an oily finish, which makes my hair stick to my face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 13, 2020
My skin type: In winter, generally dry. As the weather warms up, oily T-zone and hairline, with the rest being normal :) I have a few small blemishes on my T-zone, and sensitive skin! Application: It glides on smoothly like a lip balm. It doesn't pill or cause much irritation! White cast: I prefer sunscreens with a slight white cast as I finish my skincare routine with sunscreen. This product has quite a noticeable white cast, which I like. Blemishes: I have sensitive, blemish-prone skin with some small bumps in my T-zone. Some sunscreens cause redness, but this one didn't trigger any breakouts! Ingredients: With only 1 out of 20 ingredients to be cautious about, it seems pretty good. Fragrance: The scent seems to be quite divisive. Personally, I found it okay. However, I'm not thrilled about the added fragrance. I think it would be fine without it. Stickiness: The applied areas feel a bit sticky and greasy. It seems to have quite a bit of oil content. Usually, the oiliness subsides over time, but with this one, it tends to linger. White cast: It's too white. I have a fair complexion, but when I wore this sunstick to school, people said my face looked unusually pale. This isn't a light, fresh-feeling sunscreen. I apply this product lightly under my eyes (aegyo-sal area), on the bridge of my nose, and on my forehead after using another sunscreen. It doesn't show much, but I use it for a subtle highlighting effect. Make sure to apply powder over it! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 9, 2019
Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it's quite hydrating and applies smoothly. There's a slight white cast, but it's not severe and feels almost transparent when applied to the body. Its thin, wide shape makes it easy to glide over the skin. It has a faint powdery scent, which I personally prefer over unscented sunscreens. It seems impossible to avoid transfer with moisturizing mineral sunscreen sticks... It's my fault for buying another mineral sunscreen stick after experiencing this issue multiple times, but I won't be purchasing them again. While this product doesn't leave white marks everywhere it touches, it does transfer some oil and particles. When applied to arms or neck, it leaves slight marks on the inside of dark clothes and can make white clothes slightly yellowish where it contacts. Also, being a mineral sunscreen, it feels very hydrating at first, but over time it can feel a bit dry on the skin. If you want to protect your clothes, I recommend applying it to your face rather than your body.
