  Pros

  When spring arrives, my skin often becomes sensitive and sometimes even painful. This product, however, is gentle and non-irritating, even when used as an exfoliating toner. It's really nice! The scent is not strong; I found it to be almost fragrance-free. It provides hydration without being sticky, making it suitable for use all year round.

  While there's nothing particularly extraordinary about it, it's gentle and can be used without any issues.

  I was able to snag this at a great price during a sale at Lohb's. Although I wasn't familiar with the brand, I checked the ingredients on the Hwahae app and found it to be a gentle product, so I decided to give it a try. I have dry skin that usually feels tight right after cleansing, but when I used this product instead of toner, there was absolutely no tightness. Applying cream right after left my skin feeling wonderfully moisturized! It's even better if you really let it sink into your skin. Sometimes when I switch cosmetics, I get small bumps, but not with this one! I'm extremely satisfied.

  Cons

  The main drawback is the price. Since I'm using it in place of toner, I go through it quite quickly. I'll have to stock up next time it's on sale!

  Great as an exfoliating toner. Doesn't cause blemishes and is gentle on the skin. It's lightweight with minimal stickiness.

  Cons

  If you apply too much or use it as a skin pack, it peels off like dead skin cells. Although it's an essence, I use it like a toner. The hydration level isn't suitable for dry skin types.

  1. Despite having super sensitive skin, the gentle ingredients didn't cause any blemishes. 2. It's more hydrating because it uses thermal spring water instead of purified water. 3. It has a mild scent without any fishy smell.

  Cons

  1. Even with combination dehydrated skin, it feels dry and tight even after applying 3 layers. 2. It lacks sufficient moisturizing and hydrating effects. 3. It seems best to only expect soothing effects from this product.

  Tip

  If you have dry skin, you can apply 2-3 layers without issue. It doesn't feel sticky on the skin.

  The absorption was excellent, with no slippery or surface-sitting feeling, and it felt refreshingly light! I have rather sensitive skin, but it didn't cause any blemishes, and the ingredients seemed gentle. After using it for a few days, I felt like my skin looked clearer.

  Cons

  It might be a bit insufficient for dry skin types, but you could probably overcome that with the 7-skin method.

  It would also work well as a first serum right after cleansing.

  First, my skin type is dry and sensitive. Here's what I liked: 1. Gentle formula - It's perfect for sensitive skin, causing no irritation at all. 2. Generous amount - Though it's an essence, the quantity is ample and it's lightweight, so I could apply it liberally without worry. 3. Hydration level - While I mentioned it being drier than expected in the 'cons', this might vary depending on skin type. It would be perfect as a refreshing base in summer. You can definitely feel the hydration, but it's not heavy at all! 4. As a 14-year-old, this was my first time trying an antioxidant essence, but it didn't feel intimidating at all! I think even younger users could be satisfied with it. Since it's an antioxidant essence, my mom (late 40s) also tried it and was pleased with how gentle and moisturizing it was! I'd recommend it for people in my parents' age group too. I'm planning to use it for a full month, and I really hope to see some results! I've almost finished the bottle, and I haven't had a single blemish while using this product!! The ingredients seem to be very gentle and high-quality.

  Cons

  For dry skin, it felt a bit too light (personally, I prefer heavier formulas that really lock in moisture, so that's probably why I felt this way). It's not the thick, rich texture you might expect! It's more like a nourishing toner, if that makes sense. However, it does feel very hydrating, so it could be great for those who dislike heavy textures or have oily or combination dehydrated skin.

  Tip

  It works wonderfully as a mask when you soak a cotton pad with it! I found it to be the perfect lightweight, functional skincare base.

I usually prefer gentle toners without alcohol, and this product was a great match for me. Texture & Scent: It has a consistency between a toner and a serum - heavier than a toner but lighter than a serum. It's gentle and doesn't cause eye irritation like alcohol-containing products often do. Application: Initially, I was skeptical if this essence-like product would provide enough nourishment. However, unless you have extremely dry skin, it seems to do the job well. It applies smoothly and leaves the skin feeling soft.   As a member of The Hwahae Testers, I'll give you my honest review. Design: When you first open it, the appearance catches your eye. It's similar in size and color to Clarins Double Serum, and the heavy glass bottle feels much more stable and premium than lightweight plastic containers. Ingredients: My skin is super sensitive with many incompatible ingredients, so I carefully checked each component before applying. The ingredients list is simple and non-irritating, which is why I decided to try it. Usually, essences with excessive nutrients cause immediate blemishes for me. I can barely use face masks! Given my skin type, I was very worried about potential reactions. But on the first night, 1 layer of essence was fine! The next day, I applied 2 layers morning and night without any issues. I've been using it generously since then without any blemishes. Texture: From the outside, I thought it might be runny or slightly oily, but surprisingly it's a very thin, water-like essence. The content has a slight brownish tint like the bottle. Application: Being water-based, it absorbs quickly like a toner when patted into the skin. However, unlike toners that only slightly relieve deep dryness, this essence not only addresses that but also makes the skin's surface feel soft overall! I think it's due to the hot spring water base. However, it doesn't give a noticeable glow. Scent: It's almost fragrance-free, but if you smell closely, there's a hint of a sauna-like scent. I find it clean and pleasant, as I really dislike overly floral fragrances!

  Cons

  When I think of an essence, I still have this fixed image of something with more nourishment, radiance, and a richer texture. However, this product feels too much like a toner. Although I'd like to use it consistently as a toner because of how gentle it is, the price is a bit concerning. I'll have to keep an eye out for discounts!

  Tip

  Although it's an essence, you can use it like a toner for the '3-skin method' without any issues. You can even use it as a toner pack with cotton pads without any irritation or stickiness - it's incredibly gentle and soft. Definitely try the 3-essence method or essence pack! Also, if you have oily skin and don't usually use creams, this could work well as a final step!
