However, being a matte type, it tends to slightly accentuate dead skin cells. For a prettier lip look, I recommend exfoliating your lips with a scrub before application! If you apply it in layers by blotting with a tissue and reapplying, you can achieve better longevity and minimize transfer!

When applied thinly, it shows a purple tint, and when applied more heavily, it's a brick red! It's not brown, but seems to have more red in it. It's such a unique color, and it's absolutely gorgeous... Scent: It seems to be unscented! There's no particular fragrance that stands out. Texture: It glides on smoothly, and while it's a matte lipstick, it's quite moisturizing! Once it sets, it has a powdery finish, but when you first apply it, it feels quite hydrating. True to its 'smooth' name, it applies incredibly softly. Does it emphasize dead skin cells?: Being a matte lipstick, it does highlight dead skin cells a bit. It's not too severe, but if you have very dry lips, it's best to exfoliate thoroughly before application or apply a lip balm first! Pigmentation: The color payoff is quite good! Longevity: The staying power isn't the best. I tend to lick my lips or fidget with them a lot, so that might be why, but it does wear off easily. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing, but if I had to choose, it would be the longevity and transfer.
