The texture is not as heavy as expected / It's not overly oily / High price point / As someone with sensitive skin, I felt that applying too much might cause blemishes - kn******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 14, 2024
Although it's a face oil, it doesn't leave you feeling overly greasy. It absorbs well into the skin, leaving behind a beautiful glow. The aromatic scent is absolutely divine. Everything about it is great, except for the wickedly high price. However, you don't need to use much at once, so it seems to last quite a while. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 3, 2023
A little goes a long way for hydration. The scent is pleasantly neutral. The dropper bottle is a bit inconvenient, and it's on the pricier side. - tt******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 15, 2022
Light, fragrant, and feels like it creates a thin moisturizing barrier on the skin. Despite being an oil, it doesn't cause blemishes, has a calming effect, and leaves a fresh, non-greasy finish that I really like. The price... A 25ml bottle of oil is extremely expensive. Why does it cost so much? It's the priciest item in the Black Rose line. I apply one drop each to my forehead, cheeks, and chin after using toner and serum. I'm planning to stock up during the upcoming Black Friday sale! - ji*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 11, 2022
The subtle rose fragrance is delightful. It absorbs nicely without feeling heavy on the skin. As expected, it's too rich for oily skin types. When applied to the face, there's a noticeable warming sensation. I tried using it on my body instead, but being a facial oil, it's not quite moisturizing enough for body use. This might be more suitable for those with oily or combination dehydrated skin starting from their late 30s or 40s. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2022
Among Sisley products, this one is relatively free of harmful ingredients. Being an oil, it's understandable that it might contain potential allergens. It feels light, making it versatile for use throughout all seasons. There's nothing negative to say except for the price. The only minor issue is that when there's just a tiny bit left, the dropper becomes useless. - ji********Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 25, 2021
It absorbs quickly without feeling sticky and has great staying power. I use it every morning and evening. The quantity is small and it's quite pricey. If you use it twice daily, it seems to run out in just two weeks... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 2, 2021
The fragrance is so delightful that it lifts my mood every time I use it. It's an absolute must-have for autumn and winter seasons. I've noticed that applying it too frequently can sometimes lead to blemishes. Using it every other day seems to be the sweet spot. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2020
For an oil, it absorbs quickly and leaves a light finish. The scent is pleasant too. Most importantly, on extremely dry days, applying a few drops of this after toner and before other skincare products completely eliminates dryness. It leaves my skin comfortable and hydrated. I have sensitive skin but haven't experienced any blemishes. I'm already on my second bottle. As others have mentioned, the packaging is a bit disappointing, especially considering the brand and price point. This oil works well as a booster. Apply it lightly after toner but before essence or serum, allowing it to absorb. Alternatively, mix it with your moisturizer for best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 5, 2020
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I find the Black Rose Oil lightweight, non-greasy, and it keeps my skin hydrated all day without any deep dryness. While other brands mostly focus on moisturizing, Sisley goes the extra mile with anti-aging and wrinkle care, which I absolutely love. In my line of work, I meet new female clients several times a day, and at least once daily, someone compliments my skin and asks what I've done (I've never even been to a dermatologist or skincare clinic!) While the product itself is great, the packaging doesn't live up to the price tag. With use, the white rubber part of the dropper and the silver-plated section tend to separate. You can reattach them, but it's a hassle. Also, the exorbitant price is definitely a drawback. I apply 3 drops to my palms and absorb it into my face first, then add just one more drop for my neck. Typically, I use it after toner and before essence. About once a week, I treat it like a sleeping pack, applying it generously as a final layer after all my other skincare steps, enveloping my skin for the night.
