I have normal skin, with my cheeks getting slightly dry during the dry seasons. I don't use BB cream or foundation, but apply basic makeup over a brightening moisturizer. Hydration (Winter, Seasonal Changes) - It's moisturizing, making it great for dry seasons. You can achieve a glowing complexion without putting too much effort into your skincare routine. Smooth Application - Unlike other brightening moisturizers that can be stiff and hard to spread evenly, this product glides on smoothly, allowing for quick and easy application. Packaging - The jar-type container makes it inconvenient to scoop out the product, and sometimes dust can get in, so you need to be careful with storage. Oil Content - While it was fine during dry seasons, I couldn't use it in summer. It makes my skin look greasy and messy in hot weather, and the product breaks down quickly. My sister, who has oily skin, says it's too sticky for her liking. Brightening Effect - This might be a good product for those who use brightening moisturizer as a base under BB cream or foundation. However, since I use this as my final step, I need a more noticeable brightening effect, which this lacks compared to other products. It might suit those who prefer a more natural look. Price - Compared to other brightening moisturizers, it's on the pricier side. It might work well as a base in dry seasons or even for applying on areas like legs. - dp**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJul 29, 2019
When I first opened it, I was worried it might not blend well, but once I applied it, it went on naturally with a subtle, dewy finish. After thoroughly massaging it in, you get this luminous glow and your complexion looks slightly brighter! What I loved most was that compared to other products, it's less sticky and there's minimal pilling after application. As mentioned above about massaging it in thoroughly, if you don't apply it evenly all over, it can look a bit greasy. For better absorption, try misting your face to make it damp all over before applying the product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 18, 2019
What I liked about it I'm using the Goodal Premium Pearl Cream, but since it's not on the Hwahae app, I'm writing this review for the Snail Tone-Up Cream :) They're from the same brand, but mine is a premium tone-up cream made with pearls, while the registered product seems to have snail mucin as its main ingredient. I discovered Goodal through their whitening serum, and since the ingredients and effects were good, I trusted the brand and made this purchase. I was expecting a natural tone-up effect, and because it contains pearls, it has a beautiful, natural shimmery finish (see photo*). It applies to the skin with a slight luminous glow, but it doesn't adhere tightly. In fact, if you don't pat it in well, it can look glossy and sit on top of the skin, so you need to apply it thinly and make sure it's thoroughly absorbed. When applied thinly to the skin instead of a base product, it provides a natural half-tone brightening effect along with a glossy, slightly luminous (sparkly) skin appearance, creating a natural glowy base. Among various tone-up products, this one seems particularly good as a makeup base. I'd especially recommend it to those who love pearl-based products. What could be improved The downside is that it can feel a bit like it's sitting on top of the skin. You need to apply it thinly by patting it in, and if you don't control the amount well, it can cause your base products to pill :( So unless it's a dry day, I only apply the tone-up cream on my neck and do my usual face base routine separately! Also, there's no spatula included, which is a bit concerning in terms of hygiene. You'll need to wash your hands extra thoroughly before use and scoop out small amounts each time to use it hygienically. My personal tip If you have shade 22 skin and, like me, have a noticeable difference between your neck and face color, applying this tone-up cream only to your neck can help create a natural, even complexion. Plus, since it's not a foundation, you don't have to worry about it transferring onto your clothes - it's a win-win situation!
